@tinyfaery: Great list! When did you see Madonna (my dream concert)?
I saw Madonna during the 2001 Drowned tour. It was her first show since 1993, and she did a kind of retrospective of all her styles and albums. It was a great show, and I had fabulous seats at Staples Center. If I had a choice, I would rather have seen the Blond Ambition tour, but only because I was just soo much more into her then.
Oh, I forgot Nirvana and Pearl Jam with the RHCP at the Forum in 1992. Ha ha…grunge.

@Marina…prices are ridiculous now, although I still try to go to one or two a month. I think the most I’ve paid was almost $400 for two seats at the Hollywood Bowl for CSN&Y a year or two ago and sccrowell and I MISSED IT because I wasn’t feeling well.

WTF I’d love to have that kind of entertainment budget. Those are some great concerts that you’ve been to.
@Eambos…Live music was and still is a passion of mine. When I was younger, nearly every penny of my entertainment budget went to concerts. My collection of recorded music was modest and I did not frequent movie theatres or other types of entertainment venues. And my school and work situation were ideal. I had a very well paying job which allowed me to study so I was able to work significant hours with my employment having actually a positive impact on my studies. Plus I was born and raised in the city which was perfectly aligned with my passion. Los Angeles was (and still may be) the capital of the music industry. It was home to most of the labels, nearly all the recording studios, a significant number of artists and a thousand venues, from the wild, but modestly sized Whiskey a Go-Go on the Sunset Strip to the 20,000 seat Forum in Inglewood. Bands loved to play here and I loved to watch them. And, since it was my passion, I befriended quite a few industry people from label execs, to artists, to venue managers to even ticket agency personnel. I consider myself very fortunate.
Dang whatthefluther! I am insanely jealous. My life would be fulfilled if I could see Pink Floyd…
