Have you discovered any great music lately? I’ve asked questions like this before, but asking fluther (and people in real life) can turn up gems that you might not have found otherwise. What are you listening to these days?

Cloud Control, my fear #1 What I like about this song is that it’s right on the border between mellow and upbeat, happiness and sadness.
Wye Oak, We Were Wealth Experimental indie rock with deep melancholy in the first half, and hopefulness in the second. Everything Wye Oak does sounds fresh and new, without being over the top avant-garde. I love them!
Right now Cowgirl in the Sand, Neil Young.
I like ZZ Ward’s style of playing. Gutsy and sassy.
I love the opening song in the dark new HBO series, True Detective. It’s called “Far From Any Road” by The Handsome Family and was composed by the great T. Bone Burnett. Try to catch this series if you can. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are at the top of their game.

Too bad they’re all loop. But still worth listening.
Breathe Me and Lullaby by Sia.
Solace by Pterodactyl Plains
Pissing by Low
Pretender by Sarah Jaffe
Most were shared with me, so now I’m sharing with someone else. Also, sorry… My taste in music is pretty tortured.
