What is the best advice ever?

Asked by talljasperman (21919points) February 10th, 2014

From anyone to anyone, it doesn’t have to be any advice that was given to you. Mine is, “to pick your battles”. I over heard my mom talking to a Buddhist about dealing with religious stalkers.

A really wonderful piece of advice I’ve gotten, taken and given to others is to travel around your country and around the world. It has opened my eyes and mind to many things.

My father gave me this advice: Do your work to the point where you are happy with it. Don’t do it to the level others are happy with their work.

Don’t trust everything you feel. Said to me by someone on Fluther. Definitely made sense for the situation.

Don’t trust anybody…told to me by one of the few people I ever trusted outside of my wife. He is now raking me over the coals with information he obtained from my accountant who has violated our confidential client privilege…sigh.

Have an orgasm before you make any major decision. The clarity of mind you get after climax will help you make the best decision. :P
