What's the worst thing you could call a woman?
As asked. And yes, I did it.

Lazy.
That’s a good way to lose a body part.
A cunt.
washes mouth with soap
I’m going to go with Lazy also. Or, any variation thereof including things like disorganized and inefficient.
Okay. Someone I care about was being lax about her personal safety and I lost my temper. And, I tacked stupid on to the C word.
And you lived to tell it?
@chyna That’s still undecided.
Just not safeguarding her personal info. In my opinion. Maybe I overreacted.
I agree cunt is it, in my opinion.
Oh thanks, make me feel so much better. God I can fuck up.
Stupid is horrible in my opinion.
Well then I almost got a grand slam in stupid. :( But thanks for your answers.
Cunt is about the worst I can think of.
OMG. Well, you deserve whatever you get, @Adirondackwannabe, short of severing the relationship. I’ve never used ‘the C word” directly. Only as the most despicable thing I can think to call a female I despise. Even then, I feel guilty unless I’m really fired up.
You do not use ‘the C word’ on anyone you care about. Ever.
@ibstubro Yeah you are right. I’ll try to salvage something, but if not I just have to look in the mirror for the culprit.
Fat. Ugly. Lazy. Stupid. Worthless. Depends on the woman.
I’ve called many women “cunt.” Not to their face, of course. I never understood why that is seen as such a horrible, unspeakable word by so many people. It’s just a word. The only time that word bothers me is when it’s used in a sexual way. Ugh, such an ugly word to describe a vagina. How is that sexy? “Gash” is my least favorite – that one makes me shudder.
For me, it would be “cunt”. My friends and I have used that word on each other, which has lessened the severity of it a bit for me, but used against a woman still seems very harsh and an expression of sexism, the way “nigger” is an expression of racism when used against a black person. The only time I’ve used the word in anger against a woman was online, and it was only after she had angrily called me “faggot”, which is, in my opinion, the gay equivalent of the C-word and the N-word. If you dish it, you better prepared to take it; that’s all I can say.
@DominicX It’s funny how changing a word slightly can make it seem less severe, like “nigga” when used between black men (and in every rap song), or “fag” when used between gay men. That additional ”-er” or ”-got” seems to make all the difference.
For the record. When I was 17 I called my sister a cunt (I don’t even remember why) and she punched me square in the face. She broke my glasses. Now I only say (type) the word when discussing the word.
Yep, the infamous “C” word.
Anyone that EVER called me that would be in the dentists chair getting a full set of dentures after they got out of the ICU. lol
For the record, I despise the C word.
Being called a cunt wouldn’t bother me. I’d probably laugh if someone said that to me. I agree with you @livelaughlove21, it’s an ugly word for vagina.
I think the worst word someone could call me would be crazy. Please don’t call me crazy.
I revel in “crazy” @jonsblond! I have found their “box”.
@jonsblond “Ma’am” is a sign of respect to a woman just as “Sir” is to a man. I can’t see how saying Ma’am to a woman is a putdown. Now calling a woman an “old hag”, now that would be a putdown.
Saying she’s like or becoming someone in her family she hates. Comparing her to her mother in a bad way, for example.
@gondwanalon My first answer was more of a joke answer, but I will admit that I didn’t like it the first time I was called ma’am. It made me feel old.
Sir, Grandpa, or Rush?
@Adirondackwannabe
Have you apologized to her yet and what’s the current state of your relationship with her?
@Adirondackwannabe: In my opinion, calling someone a cunt for not safeguarding her personal information is a bit of an overreaction.
I don’t understand why it is supposed to be insulting to call someone by a word that’s a euphemism for the birth canal or other genitalia – cunt, pussy, whatever. I don’t get insulted when people call me lazy, either… I know that I am. I got embarrassed but not insulted the time someone asked if I was pregnant and I wasn’t.
I’m trying to remember when I’ve felt insulted as an adult, and the only times I can think of are when I’ve been ‘spoken to’ in the workplace for not having the social skills that are expected of women, but not of men. I’m just not a typical feminine persona and I don’t know how to pretend to be something I’m not.
I’ve been heard more than once telling someone, “You can call me a bitch because I am, but don’t call me a stupid bitch, or you’ll find how stupid I am not.”
@Adirondackwannabe, there is one thing you could have called her which wold have been worse…........................................................................... another woman’s name. You’d better get on the flowers, candy, dinner at her fave place, something special and romantic train, even if she should forgive you first.
I’m not bothered by “cunt” at all.
I did think “lazy” or “stupid” before opening the thread and I was happy to see that others had thought of those, as well. It’s a tie, I think both are hideous things to call anyone.
“I didn’t say you were a bitch, I said you were being a bitch…”
That line irritates me because it’s just stupid, and not a valid argument. Insert any derogatory word in place of bitch.
Honestly, just try to avoid name-calling or insulting anyone you care about. Try very, very hard to stick to the issue at hand. Name calling has never made any situation better.
I piss people off all the time, but I do not name-call. Lessons learned the hard way.
@jca – It depends on how strictly one defines euphemism, I suppose. “Vajayjay” and “hoo-hah” are euphemisms, “cunt” and “pussy” refer to the same genitalia and thus do not offend me, so I consider them euphemisms. Those who find those words offensive probably wouldn’t consider them euphemisms. Is there a word for words that substitute for another and are offensive?
A euphemism is a generally innocuous word or expression used in place of one that may be found offensive or suggest something unpleasant.
“Cunt” and “pussy” are not euphemisms for the vagina, as they’re not innocuous. “Hoo-ha” is definitely a euphemism.
@livelaughlove21 – My point in the comment above yours is that cunt and pussy are innocuous to me. Therefore, I consider them euphemisms.
You do look fat in those jeans!
@hearkat: It may be another way to say vagina, but it’s not a euphemism.
In the OP’s example it’s not a euphemism. If you said to someone, “fuck my cunt” it may be one thing, but if the OP said to his girlfriend/spouse “You stupid cunt” then there’s no euphemistic intent there.
@hearkat I hear cunt used to refer to women more than I do to vaginae. In my mind, it’s not a euphemism because, as established above, it’s what I consider the worst thing you could call a woman, so nothing is more offensive than it.
In my opinion, “cunt”, “pussy”, “dickhead”, and other anatomical slurs, aren’t actually descriptive of anything. Clearly, the person is not a giant talking yoni, so the expression has only the power that the speaker and listener choose to attribute to it.
“Lazy”, “stupid”, “worthless”, etc. mean something. They are pointing out a specific perceived attribute of a person and attacking them with it.
That is much more offensive, in my opinion.
@Seek_Kolinahr: I understand what you’re saying, but I am guessing (just a guess) that if you did a survey and asked what’s more offensive to women, “lazy” and “stupid” and “worthless” would be less offensive than “the c word.” “You’re lazy” vs. “You’re a c***.”
Which would be why I prefaced it with “in my opinion.”
If you call me a cunt, it likely won’t bother me at all. At least, it won’t shock me enough to make me choke back a more harmful, accurate, and descriptive retort. “You’re a dick/cunt” is lazy, as far as offenses go. If you want to hurt someone, you hit them where they live.
But then, I guess a lot of people put a lot of stock into one tiny word.
It’s funny how something can be so offensive because a group of people have mutually agreed that it is offensive, and for no other reason.
@Seek_Kolinahr: Yes, I was going to write in it “I know it’s your opinion” but I figured it’s a given that these are all our opinions.
@Seek_Kolinahr giant talking yoni, hahaha! That was a fun visual to wake up to.
A breeder. Good only for breeding.
Brian Nineteenfortysix’s wife.
Does it really matter? Any word you chose to deride her, spoken in a derogatory tone, meant to hurt is pretty much the worst word you could use. It’s always a blow to discover that the guy who is supposed to care about you doesn’t, because he thinks these words and uses such a tone and is willing to use it on you.
I’m tall for a woman and if I have short hair I get called Sir occasionally. That does not make me feel good.
Another thing that kills a little bit of me inside is being called a stupid woman. As if being a woman contributed to my apparent stupidity.
I’m thinking the C word, in general. Or if you called her stupid, when you know she isn’t. Beyond that, calling her ugly (whether she is or not) is pretty mean.
PM me, I want to know who you called a name and why. This doesn’t sound like something you’d do.
@Kardamom: The OP explains who he called the name to and why in the comments above.
