I’m going to miss his anti-gun rants, with which I so agree, and wish more Americans were doing it on TV.
Well I heard CNN cancelled his show, not that he quit.
I did watch him on occasion but I found it to be too tabloid-y and I disagreed with him on many things. For all the manners touted by the British, Piers seemed to not have many.
Never watched him, because I didn’t like his smug style on a very few viewings of America’s Got Talent.
He’s a complete fucking prick, seems like you guys caught on, Jeremy Clarkson is a very happy man.
@ucme hahahaha, what do you send all your rejects over here or what?
@KNOWITALL With the odd notable exception, yes, yes we do.
You’ll be getting Ant n Dec next, good luck with the geordie accents…pet.
@ucme They don’t seem too bad, I understood them anyway…lol
I never understood his political views. He struck me as one of those radical centrists. I have not watched too much of the guy, so I guess it doesn’t matter to me either way.
This is the best news I’ve heard in a while. I can’t stand the guy.
Perhaps he said he quit to save face but what I’ve heard is that his show was canceled. I’m assuming the ratings were on a downhill slide and people were tiring of his smug personality.
That being said, however, I did find him to be a good interviewer. And compared to Larry King, whom he replaced, he asked better more probing questions, I thought.
But there are others who are equally skilled interviewers who don’t grate on people’s nerves as he does.
I think the other part of the problem was that he was almost the polar opposite of Larry and people who were longtime Larry fans were used to his much more relaxed style. So Morgan was just too jarring a personality for that time period.
I think that either Anderson Cooper or Shep Smith would be good replacements.
Both are really intelligent, good interviewers, and fair in their approach.
I would like to see Glenn Beck back… he was entertaining.
His rants were too much even for Fox. CNN wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole.
I found him far more annoying than entertaining when I would see clips of his latest on other shows. I simply can’t imagine people tuning in for a regular dose of him on a nightly basis.
He’s a nut bar, plain and simple.
@Buttonstc It’s like watching Nascar for the accidents… I liked his books. I think he is, or was, a conservative version of Michael Moore.
