Did you know tomorrow is National Pancake Day 2014?

There are those who think it should be celebrated on Sept. 26, the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday (aka Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day)

Pancakes came into tradition as a way to use up rich foods before Lent, especially in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand.

Pancakes have garnered a special status here with the collective, and ranks up there with Congo-rats and burritos as jellies’ most mentioned food.
