Does the Toast 9 HD/BD plug-in allow you to read and watch Blu-Ray disks too?

Asked by xxporkxsodaxx (1398points) July 1st, 2008

I am just wondering if you can read them, I have already bought the software so I can record in HD but I was wondering if I could watch a Blu-Ray movie on my mac too.

do you have a BD player in your mac ? if not, then no, it’s not like a plugin on the software side of your machine will alter the hardware inside…

Where can I get a BD player for my mac? Would it fit in a MacBook?

I don’t think you can get a blue-ray drive for macs yet, or at least not from apple.

I’m sure I could find a friend who knows someone that can do it, of course I would make sure that he give’s me compensation for any damages he causes.

why would he cause damage, by the way, have you founda slim BD player yet ? i for one would never let a friend of a friend do it, it’s either me, or a good friend…

Well that’s why I would have him compensate, because it’s a friend of a friend haha. No I have had a pretty busy morning so far so I don’t expect to start to look till later tonight. But if I find anything I’ll post it here, and if you find anything tell me because I want it as much as you do.

..i don’t want it, why? it’s pretty darn expensive, i’m guessing you’ll be paying around 600 bucks for one (i could be wrong here) and that just seems a tad expensive…

@iwamoto: you’re right, they’re bloody expensive!.. $1000!
