If yes… what is a similar career path that doesn’t require a masters degree? For example can I start my own private school with out a charter in Alberta? Maybe on YouTube like the other schools are dong?

To be a counselor you need some education beyond a bachelor degree. In the US one needs a teaching credential beyond bachelor degree or a degree in education, plus to be a school counselor you need to have a counseling credential.

To open a school of any sort, to get students you need to be accredited, otherwise a diploma doesn’t mean anything. Accreditation is along drawn out process to review the complete operation of a school.
