Can two very loud barking dogs in a house with tile harm your health?

I usually sound irritable and depressed. I was thinking about it today and I am convinced that having two bichons, who I love and will not give up or abuse, are in some way harming my health status. They are extremely loud and bark anytime a person, squirrel, cat, or dog walk by the house. They start at a window, then run to the front glass door, then on to another window. When they go to bed at six pm I feel so relieved and calm and they look so adorable in their bed next to each other, snoring. Maybe if I were fifteen they wouldn’t have this affect on me. I know they caused my ears to ring 24/7 but are they affecting something more concerning? The tile floors make their barks a lot louder than if we had carpet.

Barks are a sound of alarm, just like a baby crying, that are meant to raise your awareness level. They are a stress inducer, a holdover from a time when a barking dog could save your life.
Human beings are not designed to endure stress on a continuous basis and many many studies have shown that perpetual stress is a detriment to your health.
If it stresses you out, which it clearly does, then yes, it will have a negative affect on your health.
Your metal health yes.
I’m the animal lover of the planet but I can’t stand barking dogs, and dogs are my least favorite animal although I wish them no harm. I’d probably have to get rid of them, otherwise I might snap and kill the mongrels. haha
Anything that causes you constant stress is bad for your health.
Are you able to take a mini-vacation for a day or two and see how you feel? You can always gets their vocal cords clipped and they’d be soundless little angels. I know it’s not humane to some people but otherwise all you could do is re-home them.
@KNOWITALL They tie you down. You have to hire someone to come in 3 times a day to let them out , feed them, put them to bed, get them out of their bed pen, etc and man, it kills me how I worry about them. I worry they’re scared and miss me and feel abandoned.
I cannot get rid of them. They ‘re almost like my babies. And they live 20 years with eleven to go. Not that I wish them death. One almost died and I almost died with her.
@Aster Oh I know, I haven’t had a real travelling vacation in years because I can’t bear to board mine, only when mom comes and stays do I feel okay about leaving them.
I was just thinking maybe a day or two with your family or something, someone who doesn’t work and has a nice fenced yard and no other pets. It may be worth checking out just as an experiment. Or you can take xanax or valium, then you’d just ignore them..lol
At least invest in a lot of area rugs to dampen the sound and maybe a few tapestries on the walls too.
Why not call around and find a dog trainer in your area who can work on this with you?
I do know that as I get older I have less tolerance for high pitched noises like that. Even when I was younger, its why I was glad I had a German Shepherd with a deep bark.
But I do know that their barking can be modified without any need for cruelty (such as snipping vocal cords) or harsh methods.
I think that a competent dog trainer would be worth every penny spent. This is definitely something that they typically handle.
Or, if you’re up for it, you can go the DIY route and obedience train them out of the unwanted behavior.
Some people use clicker training others use alternate methods. You can find tons of website giving step by step instructions.
Just work on correcting the behavior. I’m sure there are thousands of how-to videos on YouTube that will show you the best techniques for training them. Best of luck.
What color are the tiles?
Learn to love the sound of barking dogs. End of problem.
The COLOR OF THE TILES? LOL ! Salmon color.
