I have a feeling you’re trolling here…
The best software is a thought-provoking or interesting or intelligent question.

You can’t. The moderators will suspect something is amiss and deep six the problem. You need to EARN ‘great answer’ votes from other Jellies, just like the rest of us, by providing good answers to many different questions and being realistic with your intentions here.

My GAs are for sale :-)

Mimishu1995's avatar

@GloPro To tell the truth, this question reminds me of those “like-for-sale” incidents on Facebook some time ago. Why losing money on some likes which has no real value whatsoever?

@Bluefreedom You can do it on Facebook, but not here, like what you has said.

And @herculies, why do you need GAs in the first place?

Side note: I mistyped “answer” into “question” in my first post.

I have a question too, why the hell would anyone want to do that anyway?
If you feel the desire to reward yourself, then masturbate instead.

Mimishu1995's avatar

@ucme You’ve just reworded my question :)

ucme's avatar

@Mimishu1995 It’s a fairly obvious conclusion, I mean, WHY?

GloPro's avatar

There’s a jelly reward for doing so. Some people are completionist by nature. Not me, but that’s why I’m not building programs and buying GAs
I don’t care if he’s serious or not.

@herculies – A troll on the internet is someone who likes to stir up controversy and create arguments just to amuse themselves.

[Mod says] We do not allow Lurve gaming on Fluther, and it is grounds for being banned from the site. For more information, here are the Guidelines and Help section and the Terms and Conditions.

Mimishu1995's avatar

@hearkat I can’t see anything lurve related on the terms and conditions :)

Me, I’ll take an earned GA over a fake one anytime.

Go to Experience Project where you can heart yourself as much as you want.

@Mimishu1995 A ‘GA’ validates my existence.
@ucme Woody Allen says that when you masterbate… you are having sex with someone you love.
Am I a troll if I just want to make people smile? What are we here for if not to have fun?
Thank you all… this is my first qustion (virgin no more)

I’m currently selling GAs for 10¢ each. ~

janbb's avatar

@herculies Someone was kicked off the site for gaming the system for lurve. It’s not cool.

dxs's avatar

@PhiNotPi So does that mean I can get a GQ for ¢6? And am I not allowed to spend more than $4?

herculies's avatar

@janbb I promise not to mess with this sites source code.

GloPro's avatar

@PhiNotPi Oh, no you don’t. You can’t get out of being a mod that easily!!!

ucme's avatar

@herculies I never called you a troll, nor suggested it & if you’re going to lecture me on having fun here, well, best not, that’s kind of all I do here.

ucme's avatar

@herculies Well then, get your facts sorted & we should get on fine.

@Mimishu1995 – It’s not Lurve-specific, but ”You acknowledge that Fluther may ban any user from using the site at any time” is an important fact for people to recognize, along with all the other terms that you agree to in order to use this site.

On many occasions over the years, I have seen people have hissy-fits when people who run a website (not just Fluther) remove something they posted or revoke their privileges The users declare that it is illegal censorship on the part of the website and that the users have the right to free speech. In the USA, we do have the right to speak our mind – but that is very different than using someone else’s site or service to publish their content. All websites have Terms and Conditions that users rarely read, and most include the right of the owners and their agents to determine what and who stays and goes.

@herculies I would like to point out some things to you.

1. Making people smile is different from trolling, just like a funny joke and a dirty one. Can you laugh at an offensive/dirty/inappropriate joke?

2. You say you won’t mess with the source code, but using the GA program means doing it. You don’t do it, but the program does. It has to, because that’s how it can get you GAs. So that will count as changing the source code.

3. GAs, as well as lurves, don’t really validate your existence. What does is how active and/or helpful you are. There are members with not so many lurves but still widely recognized, whereas there are members with a lot of lurves but to many they don’t really exist. And think about it, what will people, especially the asker of the question you answer, think when they see a not so helpful answer with 100 GAs? Please, validate your existence yourself, by being truly helpful. This site is not Facebook. Facebook may judge you based on your likes and friendlist, but we judge you based on your true value.

4. I may be harsh with you the whole time, but that’s how Fluther works. We are trying to give one another the most constructive answers possible. And of course some of them turn out sounding really harsh. But accept it because we only want the good things for you. If you can’t stand it then you can’t stand Fluther, and Fluther isn’t a place for you.

KNOWITALL's avatar

@herculies Lurve gets you nothing tangible and is a complete waste of time imo. Unless you do feel the need for everyone to ‘lurve’ you.

herculies's avatar

@Mimishu1995 Thank you for taking the time to write such a lucid explanation. Thanks to everybody… I get it! I really do. I feel the love.

Now… can anybody tell me how to get 100 ‘great question’?

JUST KIDDING.
