Do pro life societies offer any financial help for pregnant women?

Asked by SQUEEKY2 (23475points) March 25th, 2014

All I ever hear is preach, preach, and preach about the evils of abortion no matter what the circumstances , and just wondering do they offer any financial help, while the mother can’t work such as food, rent, and medical costs, or is it just all preach, preach, and more preach?
Directing her to a church shelter, or a public health clinic doesn’t answer the question, do pro lifers offer financial help?

I’d like to say that it’s not preaching for many pro-lifers, although that’s what you hear from liberals all the time. It’s a cause they hold close to their hearts and dedicate their lives to doing for various reasons, some very personal.

Besides official help, many churches, groups and individuals donate their time and money.
Some groups do candlelight vigils and other fundraisers to help as well, many times a year.

“Over suggestions from the Missouri Health Department, the new state budget includes the funding for an abortion alternatives program. The Alternatives to Abortion program (ATA) provides a wide range of emergency services to women facing crisis pregnancies.”

Yes. A lot of pro-life organizations will provide financial assistance. They also choose your doctor, hospital, etc. Put your collar on like a good girl, and you can have all of the help you need.

When I worked with the urban poor in a child protective capacity, the pro life organizations would provide strollers, blankets, cribs, diapers, and stuff like that.

If you feel they are not doing anything, or doing enough, lead by example. Cobble together funds and support to fill that need. Make use of your extra time for that; unless you are saying because they don’t or don’t do it enough you are actually and agent for the other side.

@Hypocrisy_Central It will never be enough because it’s two completely different ideologies.

You either think the woman or prospective mother has dominant rights or the unborn child has dominant rights, there is not a lot of middle ground in this issue with the two camps.

@Hypocrisy_Central my views on the subject are very different then that of the pro lifers I believe in putting the Mother first, NOT the unborn kid, and while I totally agree that it should not be used as a regular form of birth control, I am 10000000% for in cases of rape, incest ,and in case it puts the mothers health in jeopardy ,but those are my views. and could care less if every pro lifer disagrees with me. NOW you know where I stand on the issue, sorry if that upsets you but I will always put the mother first.

Believe me, I am not upset, those children are with the Lord. I just wanted to confirm which team you were on before I officially put you there. I did not want my assumption to be incorrect. If anything surprised me here it is certainly not that. And no, I will not comment on any of those erroneous points you made because they are just lurve builders and I get tiired being king maker and a catalyst for them to pad their Atta boys.

Amazing women and redacted men only pull that on the unborn but are a fraud with it aside from that.

@Hypocrisy_Central Yes, it’s a difficult subject. The only thing that bothers me is that the adult makes an informed decision in most cases, while the unborn child’s life is subject to many factors and decisions that they have no voice in.

In some ways, it reminds me of how people in some areas of the world feel about dogs/ animals, disposable or with thoughts and feelings.

Yes my Aunt is a Pro-lifer and volunteers for that helps women keep their babies, I know I have donated some of the things my daughters have out grown to it.
