Can anyone help me with the name this movie?

I know this kind of question has been asked before, but so far I can’t find the exactly same movie mentioned in those questions. So I think I will just post a new thread then.

OK so this is a US comedy movie with a contemporary setting. I used to read its summary somewhere a long time ago, and that is all I know about it. Basically it’s about a fat cop who loves his mother dearly and vice versa. But it turns out that somehow his mother becomes some kind of “obstacle” when he dates his first girlfriend. And the movie seems to center about the relationship between the cop, his mother and his girlfriend and how he has to choose between the mother and the girlfriend. Sorry if that’s too little information but seriously that was all the summary had to say about it.

I wasn’t interested in it at first, but now I think I need it for some personal reason. Can you help me with its name?
