A little less conversation-Elvis (I like to dance, what can I say)
“Truckin’” by the Grateful Dead
“What a long strange trip it’s been.”
yuck….US chart
Ebony and Ivory by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. booooooring.
oh….UK chart…much better
Goody Two Shoes by Adam Ant (love him)
@anniereborn “You don’t drink, don’t smoke, what do you do?”
I Know Him So Well – Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson (UK)
Isn’t it madness he can’t be mine?
Careless Whisper – Wham (US)
Guilty feet have got no rhythm.
Little did we know at the time, but George was thinking of Elton John when singing Whisper…
“We coulda bin so good together, we coulda made this night last forever”
Don’t make me bust out the sax solo.
That sounded scarily like Chris Walken in Things to do in Denver…
@ucme wouldn’t you like to know
Double back again. From back to the future.
Anything with Freddy singing, or a May or a Schenker or a Young playing guitar.
How much is that goosie in the window
The one with the feathery tail
How much is that goosie in the windooow
I do hope that goosies for sale!
@Cruiser Haha…good tune, followed by ” Ain’t dead yet.” ;-p
Call Me by Blondie – was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US on my 14th birthday.
LaBelle Lady Marmalade (Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi) – US
Some crap I never heard of from the Bay City rollers – UK
0th birthday- I’m too old for the finder! ;-0 <fake surprise
UK. Elvis Presley- It’s Now or Never. Now I know the reason for the British invasion 3 years later- they wanted revenge!
US. Elvis Presley With The Jordanaires- Are You Lonesome To-Night?
Oh no- Elvis again! It’s like I was born under a bad sign! ;-o
Amazingly, some of you went your own way & ignored the game in the link, interesting…or maybe not so much.
To those who did play along, well played & thanks.
In the US it was Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It by Will Smith. I like him, but dislike that song, and now I can’t get it out of my head! In the UK it will only show me 14–4-98! So I very much doubt anything was #1 in the UK then!
(At least I wasn’t born at the end of February. That song was And My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. To me that’s as bad as finger nails down a chalkboard!)
update: Now it’s saying that on 3/31/70 in the US it was Footloose. I don’t know how I got the other two songs incorrect! For 2–25-98 it was Jump by Van Halen. I actually like both of those songs- good memories attached to both! (I think I finally realized that I used the order that we in the US use for dates and it is not the same way in the UK!)
Mine is the theme song for Dawn of the Dead.
When I was a teen, I decided that if my life had a theme song, that would be it. 15 years later, I stand by that. I could go into details as to why, but I like zombies, and this song comes from one of my favorite zombie movies ever, so I can just leave it as that.
And it lasts like six minutes long. It just doesn’t end…droning on and on…like a zombie, and most of my posts on here. XD
and dun tell me I failed, I was like 14 or something back then lawlz
@Symbeline At least your song isn’t as tragic as mine :)
