It is with great sadness that we report the loss of @anartist who passed away unexpectedly in February.
There is an obituary in The Washington Post
She was an active and much loved member of the tidepool and she will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

RIP @anartist. Gone but not forgotten, forever a part of the Fluther family.
Oh how sad! I was just reading some of her old responses the other day.
Fucking hell. She was a member on my site too and I helped her with website stuff. She was good friends with (Stella) Dog too.
Thank you for letting is know. Very sad to hear :( I didn’t know her well or interact with her much here but I hope that her passing was as peaceful as possible.
Just dug around and I have the DB dump from her blog. Trying to think of the best way to preserve it.
Thanks @downtide…it is always a sad day when we lose a Jelly here especially really decent ones like @anartist
So very sad. Rest In Peace, @anartist.
She was a bright, intelligent woman and a good member here. Very sad.
Thank you @downtide for letting us know. This is sad news. She was a bright star on Fluther. She will be missed.
Damn, I just visited her page yesterday, thinking I hadn’t seen her in a while. So sad.
She and I had some lively and funny private correspondence about her wonderful photos of Grand Central Station and the neighbohood during her recent trip to New York. What a shock to learn of her sudden death. I had just heard the news on Facebook, where many tributes to her are still up.
Yes, There was a recent flurry of activity (that got shared) because her birthday was April 3, I think.
Oh, what a shame. I enjoyed her posts, such a nice person too : (
@downtide, thanks for letting us know.
Alas, @anartist, au revoir.
It seems you were a burning star.
What comfort can we jellies find
When fate has proven so unkind?
May those whom you have left behind
Feel only fondness spring to mind
When raising glasses near or far
And toasting to you: “au revoir.”
(And we are hoping, faute de mieux
that we can also say ”adieu.”)
Oh no, I DO hope she is resting somewhere better. Go well anartist.
I see on FB a lot of people are asking what happened, since she was so young.

RIP anartist, you will be missed.
I am a little shocked to hear this news and sorry I won’t see the red soup can icon again.
I’m so saddened by this news. She was relatively close to my location, and I always intended to meet her someday. RIP, anartist.
Rest in peace, anartist. Go gently.
@anartist Thank you for making my avatar. You added the smiley face button and 4 leaf clover when i changed my name. So fitting.
Peace.
So surprised and sad to hear this news. She was such a terrific Jelly. Her presence will be much missed. R.I.P. @anartist.
My heart is deeply saddened at the news of Anne’s passing. She was a champion of homeless pets and she will be missed. Rainbow bridge must have been like a stampede when her beloved kitties joined her again.
May your art carry on Anne.
I was re-reading some of our old PMs. Sad, 66 is very young, does anyone know what happened? Heart attack?
“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
~ William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
A good friend of mine and fellow horsey person wants her ashes tied to her horses tail to be swished on down the trail.
The last trail ride. I’ll bring the hummus dip, french bread and wine. The saddle bags overfloweth.
Hi Ho Silver awaaaay!
