Can you help me find the pop song I'm thinking of?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47127points) April 13th, 2014

It’s much like Happy by Pharrell Williams, but in the one I’m thinking there is a lot of clapping, and every few seconds they sing “Hey hey hey!” in the back ground.

@Kardamom Where’s the R-rated version of that? What’s this with the clean version?

Dutchess_III's avatar

I wouldn’t want the r-rated version anyway! Here. Listen to this

@Adirondackwannabe It’s already a song about date rape. You want it to get dirtier?

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

@dappled_leaves Mellow. They both know me well and that I’m just playin around. Sorry if I offended you.

It’s because you forgot the tilde ~

You’re right, we just need Tilda Swinton : )

Can you guys help me find the written, sanitized version they play on the radio for Blurred?

GloPro's avatar

I had no idea it existed or had a name until yesterday. That must be why I’ve been mis-read sometimes

@dappled_leaves Here are the lyrics dirty version, @Adirondackwannabe
I don’t see any insinuations or direct remarks for this referring to date rape. What am I missing? Sounds like he’s laying it on thick to get between the sheets, but he’s not being pushy. Just persuasive…

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

@GloPro I didn’t read that into it either, but I may have missed it. I play rough at times, I like that though, and anyone can play rough with me anytime.

Happy is, well, freaking “Happy”.

I don’t know what that Blurred Lines crap stuff is. I didn’t see a resemblance.

Honestly, I thought “Happy” reminded me of something, too, but that ain’t it, man, that ain’t it.

”...there is a lot of clapping, and every few seconds they sing “Hey hey hey!” in the back ground?

GloPro's avatar

@ibstubro The first song that came to my mind was Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men

ibstubro's avatar

Yes, I can see that @GloPro.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@ibstubro The dude who did “Happy” also featured in “Blurred Lines,” hence the similarities that I heard.

Oh and I was wrong. There is no clapping in “Blurred Lines,” but there is in “Happy,” so I confused the two.

Not pickin nits, @Dutchess_III.

You’re WAY ahead of me on this topic.
