What would you do if someone raped your wife? Your girlfriend? Your child?

Inspired by a relevant detail in another post.
What are you capable of? Would it matter if you would get in trouble or not? Would what you are capable of change if you wouldn’t be punished?
Would you stick to letting the law handle it? What if the law wasn’t doing enough? What if you had only your loved one’s word to go by?
The above detail questions are only to brainstorm by. Take the OP as you wish.

I would take a loan; if I have to..and buy some weapons and go after the scum. Kidnapp them and make them feel what they did to my child/girlfriend. I would shove an extra large dildo up their ass and move it multiple times.
@Eggie I would use the shotgun as the dildo
Vigilante justice may be emotionally satisfying but what if it turns out you’re actually wrong?
As tempting as it would be to want to take vengeance, you then would just be reducing yourself to the perpetrators level, not to mention the fact that you would be no good or help to your wife if you’re in jail. A lose/lose situation.
I would do whatever I had to to try and make them feel safe. Get them therapy, even move to a different town. If the police were handeling it and the DA was prosecuting I would help them through that as much as possible, if they chose not to report it I probably would go along with that too. It would depend on the situation what I would try to persuade them to do. A date rape might be different than a rape den by a stranger. I know many people will disagree with that, but I do think of them differently depending on the circumstance. I can see want to go vigilante on some stranger, but what if it is a boy in the high school? And, he doesn’t understand that he went too far. It’s not perfectly black and white always.
Time to go hunting. The Law can have what’s left, unless they get the criminal first.
Edit: This, if I knew who did it. I’m no detective, alas, though I suppose I could hire one.
@Coloma Whether or not you end up in jail depends on how things go in your state.
Yeahhhh, hang that son of a *****
Apparently everyone thinks they live in a Liam Neeson movie. I think you are confusing “What would you do” with “What would be going through your mind.” None of you would take any of these pointlessly violent actions.
@GloPro I’d fantasize about torturing them, but I would allow the legal system to handle things. Highest choice, even if the system is flawed.
More than likely I’d give the legal system a chance, and if that didn’t work and they mysteriously disappeared, well…so be it. I don’t think I personally would do anything to another human being, but I know people.
I truly do not know. It would likely depend on the circumstances.
I would personally concentrate on the victim. I would do my best to directly care for their physical and emotional well-being and needs.
I would also contact some less than honorable good friends and tell them what happened. Nature would take it’s course. Sometimes criminals couldn’t care less what our legal system dishes up, but when tough men with good family values are standing in front of them they may get a more clear message. I’m not talking murder or castration or anything, but a severe beating would definitely be in order. And stern warnings.
Third, I would also hope the legal system would do their part, without doing further damage to the victim.
@Coloma Aye. I love it when people are all like, I will mangle them to death +5. Right, then you end up in prison, and are no longer there for your loved ones who need you after the rape.
(some rape victims fall into depression and sometimes commit suicide, you’d want to be there for them as much as possible)
I would pursue the matter with the law as much as I could, and would be satisfied if the rapist was given life in prison. A person in jail who does time for sexual crimes is going to get it in there. They usually put them in protective custody because of this, though.
But the law is fidgety…all too often you hear on the news about rapists or child molesters who get like a year, or get off due to psychological problems, or get intense therapy and end up serving less time than the guy who deals weed or stole food for his kids. I can certainly see where the vigilante spirit comes from, in such cases.
I can’t answer this as i’d like because i’m not swearing for another five days, but let me try.
If I had my way, i’d hack their penis off with a big knife & weld their testicles deep inside their anus.
@ucme I can’t answer this as i’d like because i’m not swearing for another five days, but let me try.
Haha, you managed pretty well. :)
@Symbeline I did, but a tirade of abusive language would have been ever so appropriate.
@ucme Certainly not going to argue that. :)
What I would want to do is castrate them slowly, with a rusty spoon. What I would actually do would be turn them in to the police. If, by the end of it, I felt that justice was not served, I would be handing over to some shady character, a package containing used banknotes and a rusty spoon.
@Symbeline How frightfully civil of you darling :D
Well..really, the thing is, anyone that rapes is mentally unwell, and trust me, when it comes to rapists and pedophiles and child/animal abusers, my impulse to rend them, limb by limb is enormous, but….in reality, you can’t argue with a sick mind, same as beating up someone because they have a physical handicap.
These people are driven by compulsive behaviors that even years of treatment are unlikely to cure.
Lock ‘em up and throw away the key.
@Coloma You’r right of course, most were molested as children themselves. It’s very sad.
Reminds me of the guy in the US who asked to be castrated before being released as he knew he’d offend again, and he was turned down because the state wasn’t allowed to pay for that.
This discussion reminds me of the other day when that judge gave the Rockefeller dude probation for “molesting” his daughter all because she said child molesters like him do not fare well in prison. So the best place to send these creeps is to prison where the general population can have their way them.
I vote for Alcatraz…too bad it’s only a tourist attraction/state park now. haha
@Coloma I was sexually assaulted by a physically and mentally handicapped man when I was 16. My parents felt his disability rendered him incapable of knowing what he was doing. I went to the local police department where I had a fatherly figure on the force. He told me that bastard already had 45 filed complaints and that it was a felony to beat up a handicapped person. He told me he would take care of it.
Then he went and found the guy. He told him I was his daughter and he’d fucked with the wrong kid. He beat the shit out of him with his own cane and told him if he got another complaint filed he would kill him.
The guy knew what he was doing and used his disabilities to abuse women. My friend on the force had enough of abiding by the law, I guess. I didn’t even know he had done that until I was well into college and ha stopped by the station one day years later to say hi. I can’t say I disagree with his actions.
I would make the person unable to rape anything again.
Death is too quick and too kind in this case.
@GloPro I’m so sorry, your friend rawks though.
^^^ Thanks. It definitely gave me a perspective on my parents. I never went to them for help again and moved out at 17.
@GloPro I hear that, I moved out at 17, too. Decided it was better to not ever ask for help again than to ask and hurt when it was ignored.
@GloPro That sucks, I had the “funny” Uncle, nothing too over the top, but, obvious inappropriate behaviors. I used to dread those after dinner walks at family gatherings when he’d pretend to put his arm around me only to fondle my 14 year old breasts. I told my mother and she said I must be imagining things! End of that attempt at communicating the reality if things.
Families often cannot handle the disclosures of sexual assault be it within or without. Really, you have to forgive them for they are stuck in their own deep river of denial.
Gouge out their eyes
3rd degree burn their hands
3rd degree burn their nose
Burn their tongue
Halve/Burn their genitals
Cut off their toes
And then drop them off at a hospital in Mexico without their ID or credit cards.
Or if I’m feeling merciful, bind them up and toss them into a tub filled with Lye.
If they live, they’ll live in utter misery
If they die, they’ll die in utter misery
@Winter_Pariah The second you used the concept of Lye….I knew you are not kidding here
Again I ask – what if you have the wrong person?
@Winter_Pariah
So murder is ok, even laughable, if you’re the one doing it?
@Darth_Algar where in this thread did anyone suggest capital punishment is laughable? You are entitled to your opinion but hyperbole on a subject like this is anything but laughable.
@Cruiser
You. should. probably. read. the. three. posts. above. yours.
@Darth_Algar “Again I ask – what if you have the wrong person?”????
Yes I do see @Winter_Pariah did “lol” 2 posts above mine….you are then correct. This subject is obviously highly charged and unfortunately even humor may make it that much more uncomfortable.
@Darth_Algar Skipped over your post regarding vigilante justice and what if you’re wrong the first time I peered into this thread. To answer your question – after I took some time to really think about it, If it were the wrong person, there would be a sense of guilt and regret, I know that. But considering how I have become generally unattached to emotions – only with people I bother to care about do I bother with intense, deep and real emotions, I’d probably move on with my life with relative ease and try to find the real person who did it. Guilt and regret are two emotions that I am very familiar with and have become all more the easier to bear because of that familiarity. I am aware that this may be disturbing to some, and frankly, I don’t care to elaborate in order to explain myself or try to garner empathy for why I now think in the manner I do.
And I can and will joke and find fun in about anything and everything.
I would absolutely kill anyone that raped my pet goose.
@Coloma is choking the goose anything like choking the chicken?
@Winter_Pariah LOL, maybe. Better grease the goose first for best results. haha
@Darth_Algar Yours is a valid question. I would definitely take my certainty into account. If my mother, sister, daughter were certain they knew who had raped them, and I could see the fear and psychological damage this person had inflicted on my loved one I would act. If there was doubt I would patiently give things time and continue to support the victim. I am not a detective. I am a patient person, and in time things would hopefully become clear. If they do, and I become certain, then see above responses.
@Coloma Your goose is awesome for sure, but who want to rape one?
…well, there are strange people out there. Lol.
@Symbeline Haha…humor, but hey…have you ever read “Leda and the swan”?
Zeus used to take the form of a swan to take advantage of women all the time. I guess swans are sexy.
Honk if you’re horny. lol
Raped your pet goose…? I’m thinking more of a stewing it than sexual assualt.
@Coloma I have not. Should I ask? XD
@Symbeline Just google ‘Leda and the swan”...the sculptures and paintings alone are worth a thousand words. haha
