If you could replace all of the grass in your lawn with some other plant, what plant would that be?

I think that grass lawns are boring. Everybody in the neighborhood has one. Surely there is some more interesting plant with which I could create a lawn. Be creative!

I love wild flower meadows.
My husband really wants fake grass. I told him if he wants to do a golf putting green in fake grass in back I will go for that, the rise no.
There are several plants used as ground cover, I have no idea their names. I would pick something indegenous that needs very little watering if any.
Bamboo is wildly invasive. Are you sure?
Cannabis. It would pay for itself. Of course, I’d have to move to Colorado.
Venus fly traps. With some genetic modifications of course so I don’t have to sit on the porch and yell at kids to get off my lawn.
Just let it grow wild. What people think of as weeds are actually lovely little plants – you just have to look more closely. Grass lawns are definitely boring. I don’t know why anyone bothers to create them.
Asphalt.
I dislike my yard, can’t afford to landscape it, and detest mowing and yard work. Pave it.
Giant Venus flytraps. Get lost, peddlers! And everyone else!

Some low-maintenance, rapidly spreading ground covers;
Myrtle or vinca (has a lovely, small blue-purple flower in spring).
The various thymes (has the advantage of smelling good when you walk on it).
Creeping Jenny (they don’t call her that for nothing)
Sweet woodruff (you can make Maywine if you have time on your hands).
Bishop’s weed (will take over every available surface if you aren’t careful).
Ajuga
Lamium
Pachysandra for shade
Creeping phlox
I have wild strawberries and raspberries taking over my garden. And I couldn’t be happier.
Do the birds leave enough berries for you?
