Also does he use English math on his computer? (use the names of math symbols).

This is apparently his email, I suppose you could ask him, though it would probably take a long time for him to get back to you.

After scouring the internet, I can’t find any compelling evidence that he does, and frankly I find it reassuring that he doesn’t play Super Mario Cart.
He did play poker with Newton, Einstein, and Data on STTNG, as part of a holodeck program, but I suppose that isn’t playing video games as much as being in a video game.
He has also played himself on the Simpsons, Futurama, and The Big Bang Theory, so he isn’t beyond wasting his time with such things, so I suppose it is possible.

Considering his physical state I kinda doubt it.

He’s probably a wizard with the joystick, but those darn buttons get him every time.

@filmfann Lol, I can picture hawking rolling around a mario track in his house or something.

After Hawking lost his voice he was given a computer system to enable him to have an electronic voice. Hawking has played himself on episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “The Simpsons” and “Futurama.” etc.

Many years ago, when could still use his joystick, I saw him in Pasadena blast down the sidewalk in his wheelchair. He loves speed.

By the time video games came around, he had already lost most of the control of his limbs.

He did like board games and model airplanes as a youngster.

@RocketGuy Was that when he was on TBBT?

@dan – no, it was almost 20 yr ago.

@RocketGuy Aw man, he can’t even use his joystick anymore? That’s a shame.
