What has been the best part of spring so far, for you?
I am so excited about spring this year, simply because it is my first real spring in the UK. In a way, I feel a little like I have been through three winters!
I am loving: the budding flowers, the sounds of lawn mowers, the delicate warmth (indeed very delicate) of the sun. The colourful clothes in the stores. What has been your favourite visuals, feelings and experiences of this spring so far?

Going on a date with my significant other to the beautiful gardens at the Huntington Library. Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers this season. I took loads of photos during our stroll.
Being able to walk to get foodstuffs, instead of taking a taxi.
Same here @LornaLove…this was one long winter and just now spring flowers are brave enough to pop up. Spring nesting birds singing, warm sun rays and green spouts all around…Spring has sprung and I am one grateful gardener!
Best part of spring for me is watching the trees leaf up and the lawns turn from ugly brown to cheerful green. We had a longer-and-colder-than-usual winter, and I’m glad the warm weather’s back. Just please don’t quote me when the temps inevitably climb into high double- and low triple-digits.
Oh, and I cleaned, filled and heated up my hot tub this week. I like that, too.
@Pachy You are so lucky with the high temps in summer. Here to me it is like another winter but milder, but loving it all the same :)
The increased sounds of gunfire as the gang bangers come out of hibernation. No, wait, that’s the part I dread.
I have little seedlings I started two months ago which were struggling to hang in there until they could be put outside. They are now drinking rain water and brief periods of sunshine. I am so happy to at last have them reaching for new depths and new heights.
I love that Spring time in Alaska smells like death and decay.
For bitches like me, there is no Spring, merely the calm before the Storm.
@AshLeigh I love that Spring time in Alaska smells like death and decay.
That was so fucking awesome.
Walking barefoot in the grass in a cemetery.
Sunshine! And the smell of freshly-mown grass, when people drag out their lawnmowers for the first time since last year.
I live on campus so the ladies wearing less clothing is nice. Raincoats are being replaced with sweaters.
It’s been generally cooler than this past Winter has been.
Everything I’ve wanted in life is happening and falling into place:
I got out of the military.
I planned to move to CO, and I did that.
I found a job and a cheap studio that will allow me to live alone and save money at the same time, and I can go buy marijuana from a store like a regular joe.
I feel guilty for even having a good life now.
The flowers, the lengthening daylight, the brightening air and meeting someone for the first time with whom I get on very well.
Tulips and warm, moist nights.
