Is there a way to schedule status updates to a personal Facebook account without the annoying "via" attribution?

Hi! I work for a public figure who wants to create some of his status updates in advance and have me schedule them to go out while he is traveling and can’t do it live. I have found a number of services that do this (like Hootsuite), but the post leaves the “VIA Hootsuite” in the post. He doesn’t like that. Is there a service that doesn’t leave attribution? Free would be nice, of course.

I highly doubt it. Those “via” mentions generate business for those “free” apps. Advertising for them is the price you pay. If a service that doesn’t require attribution exists, it is highly likely that you’ll have to pay for it.
Why use a service at all? Type the status updates yourself.
So you have a politician wanting to find ways to lie and otherwise be deceptive. Gee, no surprise there.
But how do you, his employee, feel about abetting an avowed liar?
Not a politician, no. He is a local sports figure.
I won’t be available to post for him either. I’m rolling off this project. Not really my area of expertise.
Facebook has a API that you could use and you could use CRON to fire off jobs that would post the updates. This isn’t exactly easy or user-friendly and I’m not going to go into the details unless I get some $$$ sent my way. With enough Googlling you can figure it out.
That is a great suggestion! I will look into it! Not sure if I have the computer skills to make it happen, but I will give it a shot. Thanks!
