Do you still have dreams of past lovers?
Maybe you are happily married, or deeply in love… but do your past lovers still creep into your dreams?
Do you get several visitors, or maybe you just have one amazing lover who had a deep impact on your life that makes appearances?
Do you feel guilty? Like it is a betrayal to your current love? Does it make you want to reach out to them or at least “facebook stalk” them?

No. The current one cancelled all the others out.
People I met once a decade ago will pop up in my dreams. I have very vivid creative dreams. I love dreaming of past lovers. Who doesn’t like a good sexy dream?
Yes, this has definitely happened to me. As far as the guilt aspect of it goes, the way I see it the mind will dream what the mind dreams, so I don’t feel lose any sleep over it. I don’t think that means I care any less about my current SO, just that I have hold some of my past SOs in high regard.
@josie, Can anything really cancel out a past relationship? Aren’t we who we are (for better or worse) because of those relationships and the interactions with those people?
Not in night dreams, but in day dreams. I have reveries about a few very special lovers, and wonder what became of them. It’s one of the things that make life worth living as you get along; knowing that you loved well and you shared moments with some magnificent lovers. That’s why it is important to be a generous lover. The rewards are greater and much more memorable.
I seriously don’t think my wife would’ve minded if she knew I thought about past lovers now and then. She probably had some old favorites of her own. No healthy mate would be jealous of a memory unless something isn’t right in the relationship. Then the problem isn’t the dreams, but something more immediate, tangible, and closer to home.
The man I divorced 17 years ago, and a man I lived with for several years then broke up 8 years ago have each appeared in my dreams over the years. It has become less frequent, but I’d say the most recent occurrence has been within the last year. I don’t read anything into it. These men were incredibly important in my life, and I loved them deeply, and will always feel love for them. I also have former coworkers and classmates appear in my dreams, even though I have little or no contact with them over many years, and I don’t read any significance into those dreams, either.
Yes, but more often lovers I have never met.
Yes, quite often my ex husband creeps up. But they aren’t sexy dreams. The majority of them are replays about betrayal. I have dreams about other past loves also. No, it’s not a betrayal. My partner knows about these things. And I am on FB with most of them.
There is always that first love. Memories of that sometime creep up in the quiet times.
Happily married and yes past lovers will attack me in my dreams and I don’t blame them one bit.
^^ It’s the Trump effect.
@ibstubro Comb overs don’t mean shit unless you got the cash to back them up.
My dreams are more confused and convoluted than straightforward.
Dreaming about people is weird for me. WhenI dream about people I know, there is some stranger playing the part, except my first husband. I suppose it has to do with my facial recognition issues. I don’t have it that bad. Once I know somebody well, I recognize them, but people I only see one place, or people I only see once in a while, have to be where I expect them for me to know them.
I have dreamed about exmen of my life, but not often. My first husband is the only one played by himself. It has been a long time. Lately I get impatient with my dreams, ditch them midway through, and start with a new one, sort of a subliminal channel surfing.
I dream about my ex husband, very rarely, it’s always a nightmare. Nooo….why are you here!
I can go years and years, then one night, he shows up….weird shit, considering I never think about him.
The other night I dreamed I had sunflowers sprouting out of the carpet…wtf was THAT all about? lol
Dreams of Past Lovers…sounds like a fucking Michael Bolton album, I shall now walk away & vomit a little.
^^ LMAO! Never saw that one coming. I now have milk in my sinus’ thank you very much.
Now let’s not cry over spilt milk ;-}
