Do you think that major US internet providers are deliberately slowing traffic in an attempt to rake in even more dinero from their customers?
I saw the story here
It reminds me of how other manufacturers of goods cut volume of the product while raising the price of the item.
{a pound of bacon is now 12 ounces or less for way more than the pound once cost}
{A gallon of ice cram is now a quart and a half}

It isn’t up for debate. Comcast makes Netflix pay to not buffer constantly.
This my friends, is what net neutrality is all about.
This is old news. Why do you think so many computer-literate people have been fighting the net neutrality fight for years? Only now are the regular people even noticing something that some of us tried to head off years ago, but others didn’t care about until it came to pass.
Not only do I think it, I knew it.
Do priests rape little boys? Of course they do. It is all about the money for them.
@ragingloli I knew they were raping the young boys, but didn’t know they made any money from doing that.
Duh.
I am still trying to figure out what and “ice cram” is, and frankly, the minds pictures are not pretty
Locally, as a homeowner the slowest access speed available is faster and cheaper that I get with a much more expensive business account. The speed provided on such an account is the absolute minimum that will allow your business to function. Of course, you do have the “option” to pay more for higher speeds if you “need” it. Basically, I can get the minimum a homeowner can get for twice the price. What a deal.
I KNOW they do it. I have not been a Comcast customer for almost a decade because of this.
The cat’s been out of the bag for a while now on this. What I more upset over is how our toilet paper is shrinking. The original spec for TP was 4.5” x4.5” and is now 3.9“x4” that is 23% smaller and we are paying more than ever. F’n rip off of the worst possible kind!
Of course they do. The customer is a bottomless vault of money that exists to make our providers richer.
….and we are more full of…
