Second Base is highly debated base when talking about sexual accomplishments, all that needs to be done is to clarify what “league” youre “playing” in.

I don’t think there ever was a’‘set rule’’ for this. Second base can mean feeling up or sexual intercourse, today so much as 20 years ago. I don’t think this is the kind of thing culture has much of a say on, it just posts a strong image thereof in which its reality only exists in fiction.

Do people even ask each other out? In my experience there is nothing formal, it just kind of happens if the two people like each other. You start hanging out, then before you know it, you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Was that different back in the day?
However I’m sure there are plenty of straight edgers today who also value taking time before advancing, just as much as some get it on in the first meeting. And I don’t think much of this has changed. Sure second base exists, but we’re talking about intimacy here, when it comes down to discovering this, people’s minds couldn’t be further away from the media and what their culture says about it.

I am not going to say that. However, in a Vogue, or Glamor magazine I read a while back they had a sex poll in it where they interviewed women about their sex activities, and around 46% +/- said they had sex with a guy the 1st night thery met him. So, it is not every young person.

From what I remember far different, you did not just hang out in mixed groups. How you approached your relationship with a girl was basically what your aim was. If she was the landing pad for just about every boy in school, then you wanted to know her in hopes of spending time on the tarmac too. She was not the girl you would take to the movies, carnival, etc. The girl you really like, and respected, you would put in at least 6 months of good b/f work before you even thought of making a move for 2nd base in any league.

And I don’t think much of this has changed.
