So, Leonard and Penny are getting married. Do you think The Big Bang Theory will blow up when Sheldon and Amy sleep together?

Ah the old “Irresistible force against an immovable object.” conundrum.

I predict four, 7 second bursts of laugh track building to full 15 second tsunami of laugh and cheer track.
The event will be recorded by one of Amy’s test monkeys – who will begin smoking a cigarette. [Cue 15 seconds of uproarious laugh track. Fade to black.] .

I can’t imagine it. Is Sheldon going to like the sex?

I think I see Fonzie pulling up to the ramp on his bike.

@JLeslie Sheldon will find sex both “interesting” and “fascinating.” But then he will decide that his Pon Farr has been fulfilled and will not be performing sex again for seven very long years!

Sheldon won’t have sex. He and Amy will break up and their animosity for each other will be much more rich fodder for the comedy writers. Sheldon and Amy zinging one-liners at each other? That is so much better than what is happening now. It will happen because Amy ‘cheats’ on Sheldon because she is sick of waiting for him. It will expose dozens of double standards and we will all laugh… awkwardly.

First, let me give you some Big Bang Background.
Chuck Lorre wrote 12 episodes of Roseanne in 1990–1992. He is now the head writer of Big Bang Theory.
Johnny Galecki played David on Roseanne. He now plays Leonard on Big Bang Theory.
Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf both had major roles on Roseanne, and now are in supporting roles on Big Bang.
So, what’s ahead?
I am pretty sure that when Howard’s mother is revealed, she will be played by Roseanne, unless that character is purposely a caricature of Roseanne Barr. I understand she can be demanding and harsh.
That said, when the TV Series Roseanne jumped the shark, it was when she won the lottery. The rest of the series sucked.
Sheldon and Amy having sex might be fun for several episodes, but it might be their jump the shark moment. I envision Sheldon being horrified that he likes it, and he finds himself conflicted over doing it again, or quitting his job and doing it all day.
Howard and Bernadette spoke of having children last night. That is a possibility, or they many just anguish at their inability to have a child.
Leonard’s and Penny’s upcoming nuptials will be derailed. The only humor in them getting married would be Sheldon trying to find a new roommate, which of course Amy would want to be.

I noticed the Roseann connection some years ago. Good call @filmfann. I think there will be a dream sequence where both Penny and Leonard change into killa gorillas (after an experiment of Sheldon’s goes horribly awry).
Howard and Bernadette will have a baby, but it will turn out to be quintuplets.
Raj will finally have sex with his phone.
When Sheldon realizes his Pon Farr is done for 7 more years and tells Amy no more sex, Amy will run away with one of her smoking monkeys.

What ARE you talking about anyway? I don’t get it. haha
