Does this "joke" bother you?
I’m referring to this
It bothers me because that’s an actual photograph of a real event, and seeing the look on the guys face in the back, and his clenched fist, and seeing the panic on the woman’s face…honestly, the first thing I thought of was Sandy Hook.
Was I wrong to comment on the post that I wondered what was really wrong and that the picture bothered me? I didn’t mention Sandy Hook or anything.
Do you think people should think twice before they post certain things that they call a “joke”?

No it doesn’t bother me. On the other hand it isn’t very funny, either. I didn’t even smile.
How is that an actual photograph of a real event?
Isn’t she an actress and this shot is from a movie?
It is from a recent, fairly well known movie so it doesn’t bother me nor do I find it funny.
Looks fake. I can not see a single crater in the road.
It’s a still from the movie Identity Theft. I didn’t find the movie funny, and I don’t find the joke funny, but I also don’t leap to any school shooting.
Ok. I missed the movie then.
It doesn’t bother me.
I’d feel better about it if it were actually funny.
No, and I don’t even get it?
????
It means teachers are just as happy about the last day of school as the kids. I can relate!
But you know, there are a lot of times people will post real pictures of injured children or something and attach it to a bogus story. That’s shameful.
No it doesn’t. So happens I’m familiar with the actor and actress and no way I would have connected this with Sandy Hook unless maybe guy has a gun and there are kids in the pic.
Over-thinking this one. It isn’t offensive. It also isn’t that funny, but not because it’s in any way offensive.
“It bothers me because that’s an actual photograph of a real event”
Uhhh that’s Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.
It has nothing to do with Sandy Hook, nor does the joke. It was you who made it about that in your mind, so no, it doesn’t bother me.
Right. I got that it’s a movie. I understand now. I didn’t know it when I posted it. I thought it was a picture of a real event, and it just reminded me of many of the scenes at Sand Hook. Geez! Lighten up!
No, not at all, and I’m not sure I get this joke. I think it’s the children who run away, not the teachers. It will make more sense to me if “teachers” is replaced by “children”.
@Mimishu1995 – as a former teacher, I can assure you that teachers are fleeing the building as quickly as they can.
And no, it doesn’t bother me. The caption is very clear and the picture does look like a movie still shot.
No, and don’t get it, #2.
Not funny. It isn’t insulting or anything. Itt’s just not funny.
Just like students, teachers also have deadlines to finish a certain chapter with their class or do their homework. When school’s over they are equally as happy and relieved as the students are.
Well this picture looks like a still shot from a movie. Nothing to worry about it’s just a picture. And more particularly it’s from a movie so no worry there.
