Have you noticed the new Flag As button on the profile pages?

You may have noticed that there is now a Flag As button on profile pages. You can see here for an example. It is located below the Follow button.
Until now, there was no easy way to report profile spam (advertisements on profile pages). With this new feature, it is possible to report spammy profiles directly.
If you find a user with a spam profile, please flag it to notify the mods. Please use the text field to provide additional information when needed.

I have.
I also see it on my own profile, just to the right of my joined date. ;-o
COOL! Hey @PhiNotPi, how long did it take you to do that?
Now I don’t have to click that contact button so often and link to the spammers everytime I post. DIE SPAMMERS DIE!
And as a reminder, don’t post on the spammers questions. Flag and step away! I just learned about that and am sorry for the times I have posted on them!
Since it’s Memorial Day I thought you were saying that there was a flag icon available with all the jelly avatar options. Lol.
I thought there were no new tech changes happening around here. Did you do it, Phi? Thanks!
@Mimishu1995 It took me about an hour and a half earlier this morning.
What a brilliant thing to wake up to! Cheers, Phi!
Nice one. This should probably make it easier for the mods to track down the spammers instead of having to slog through pages of flagged answers. Hopefully.
If anyone flags my profile I will end you.
* glares *
Nah, I’ll just flag myself because it feels nice.
“inappropriate avatars”
giggles
Must have gone away, noticed nothing different.
It’s still there, right besides your join date.
And yeah, inappropriate avatar. I was thinking of asking what this may entail, but really it’s pretty obvious I guess.
I had one removed one time for being obscene, no idea why, it was just the Hulk humping a cement truck :D
@ucme…dude! I totally remember that avatar lmao.
I miss it so, it was incredible :D
Hey @ucme How’d you get the 2 different avatar pictures? There’s the small one on your profile page which shows here and that new one with the squirrel and mouse in front of the flag.
@Dan_Lyons That’s been done to death, so much so i’m bored shitless of it :D
Summat to do wiv Fluther hating mobile devices/i-Pads
@Symbeline Yeah, that too :)
[Mod says] I fixed the avatar problem.
Don’t work for me, but that’s okay, makes me feel special :)
He still has two different avatars. (and a third one when you see him crafting a response)
@ucme If you try changing an avatar now, maybe it’ll work?
You probably have to refresh the page or something.
@Symbeline Seeing as though it’s you, i’ll try that right now, won’t work though.
@Symbeline The one when he’s crafting the response is the second one. The squirrel and the mouse with the eye patch.
Now, do you see a golden jellyfish here & on my profile?
Yup, the jellyfish is on here, and in your profile. Now quick, don’t change it, and just type something here, so I can see if the same one pops up.
But I fucking hate the ugly tentacled bastard, watch what happens when I change to one of my own
Watching.
EDIT- Agh, right…back to square one. Seems to only work with the preset avatars.
I see three, none of which I chose XD
Yeah, it’s just not happening. :/
Click on his profile, there will be a different one.
Once again, I only see a single avatar.
He’s still got two. The small one (upper left-hand corner) and the larger one by his bio. The larger one shows up here in the thread while he’s crafting and then changes to the smaller one when he submits his answer.
Okay, I see a zombie caricature here, a naked hippy playing an accordian in my profile & DangerMouse & Penfold standing in front of the Union Jack where it says delete avatar.
Been this way for a while now, I can only change it via a friend’s desktop, but I kinda like it being all whacked.
It is probably a caching problem.
Here’s my plan of action:
1) Delete all of his current avatars
2) Restart the servers
3) Upload an avatar for you
Why change anything? it’s kinda cool. Oh, you’re just kidding @PhiNotPi
@PhiNotPi I’m loving the way you’re talking about me like I was in another room :D
@Symbeline I get a url error
Wow @Symbeline I don’t see that guy in the underwear in the smaller picture at all when I look. I see The guy in the striped outfit.
URL errors, striped outfits…hopefully photobucket isn’t giving you guys access to all my porn.
srsly wut’s goin dawn
Okay, everyone refresh their page!
This is gloriously fucked up XD
@Symbeline I got your pic now, but I get a different profile image
Yes, I wanted to show what your page does with all the different avatars. (there’s the dude in his undies, and the danger mouse)
Well I say @PhiNotPi deserves a big thumb’s up for trying to fix this. :)
I restarted like three different servers and I still don’t know where the problem is…
I think the problem is not a problem but rather Fluther servers recognize something unique and cool about @ucme And maybe this is the beginning of Artificial Intelligence becoming self-aware.
OMG, Skynet has come alive!
@ragingloli was right, machines are self aware!
Off topic:
@ucme – The youngling and I are totally into DangerMouse right now.
There’s nothing new for us mobile users.
@Seek Cool beans, Penfold is my absolute hero, best toon ever
@turtlesandbox – That is correct. The mobile site is streamlined because it was designed for the small iPhone screen back in 2007.
However, if there is a feature you’d like to use that is only available on the desktop version, you could switch to desktop from the bottom of the mobile screen, or change the i.Fluther.com (mobile) to www.Fluther.com (desktop) in the address bar, then switch back when you’re done.
[Mod says] We’d like to send a big “Thank You” to all the users who are utilizing this new flag, and the flagging system throughout the site. We can’t possibly monitor all activity on all threads, so it really is especially helpful when Jellies use the flags to call our attention to content that is, or appears to be, in violation of the Guidelines. Collective participation makes the site better for everyone. Jellies rock!
@hearkat Oh yeah. I love clicking on that flag button too :)
