Stay indoors, in the air conditioning, as much as possible. I loathe the Summer.
Basically one plan… to make it to fall.
No vacation. I work through the summer, and I don’t like the hotter temperatures. We enjoy all the fresh, local produce and relaxing on the deck in the evenings or on weekends (except for the mosquitoes).
Get outside as much as possible, summer is where I live.
Go travel a bit.
Finish my books.
Write my book.
Get ready for next term’s school.
Go sailing again for the first half of summer and make some munny… or try to. Yachts need to be delivered from point of purchase to the buyer’s dock. There might be a repo or two, but I’m not crazy about that kind of work. Then, in late summer, there is work to be done on the farm.
Immediate plans involve enjoying the World Cup, love it.
Not much. Same thing I do every day, Pinky…
Working. I am trying to find a better job, and although it isn’t limited to Summer, I’d like to accomplish this before next Winter if possible.
Work. Can’t believe I grew up for this.
Yeah…I miss being little. This sucks. Lol.
I plan on tending our garden so well that we will run out of Ball jars this fall and have to purchase more.
I will holiday in the States for two weeks but, other than that, work and gigs.
@hearkat a few places but mostly around the south east and moving north towards more central states. I’m particularly looking forward to going back to Nashville.
Well, if you’ll be in the Philadelphia – New Jersey – New York area and want to meet with Jellies, please give us some notice.
I will. I think the closest I’m going to be is north Illinois!
What’s this vacation you speak of?
Yard work, swimming and ball games.
Either swim the length of the Nile wearing a zebra costume, or stay home and resolve some financial matters- it’s a tossup.
Work and hike. I want to try mushrooms as well.
I’m going to France for three weeks. My husband and daughters are staying on for another two weeks then I’m going back out for a week. We just bought a holiday house there and this is our first summer. Can’t wait
What’s a “vacation”? Aside from layoffs, the closest thing I’ve had is a four-day weekend.
The joys of adulthood outside of the top 10%...
How did everyone’s plans work out? I had a lovely summer. Back to work tomorrow though…
Well.. I worked. So my plans were not changed.
I have spent all my summer (which last for more than a month) finishing half of my plans. Now I’m satisfied and I can go back to work.
I have not been out near as much as I would like. 3 backpacking trips a dozen mountain bike rides and a couple of fishing expeditions, several day hikes…..not near enough. I get busy with in-laws work and other errands.
