Do you think you become an answerer more than an asker over time?
Over time I feel that I want to, and do, answer more here. My questions, to me, seem to be reduced in both quantity and quality, and I don’t feel like asking as much as when I first joined.
That’s just my feeling. I don’t know if you have the same feeling as me.

I definitely answer more now. Once in a while I’ll think of something to ask but mostly I just answer.
I’ve found I have more opinions than questions. I regret that. It makes me feel like I’m not growing.
The novelty and the fascination wear off, for some sooner than others, I still ask questions occasionally, but at a lower frequency than I used to.
Not necessarily. I ask questions when I want answers. When situations in my life dictate.
^^ There is that. I recently had a vexing tree ID question answered.
Sometimes I try to ask questions but I get moderated a lot. I guess I’m not good at it.
That happened to me, although very recently I have asked several questions, but I definitely went through a long lull.
I was never much of an “asker” to begin with since most questions can be answered with a simple google or wikipedia search.
I go through phases of having a lot of questions, and having none.
I have always answered questions more than asking them; I don’t think this has changed over time, though I am sure someone could crunch the numbers to verify it. I haven’t even asked a question in 2014.
@Michael_Huntington Yeah, me too. While I have had good help here with technical questions, it’s usually something I can fix by looking it up online, instead of asking here. That said, Kardamom is totally the authority on food and recipes, and I’d rather ask her for references than look it up. She knows her stuff, and I know she won’t lead me astray. Fluther is not useless when seeking information. I’ve also had help with TV’s, light pillars and computer problems. And the ninja. Seriously.
All my questions are usually asking for opinion or experiences/stories though. I see this place as a community, which it is…a lot more than what Fluther originally was for. Also I have to admit, there are things sometimes I want to ask, but knowing how the community is, sometimes I save it for somewhere else, because I am either going to be judged or laughed at. God forbid I ask anything about ghosts for example, because every single answer is going to be ’‘ghosts don’t exist’’ even if I make it clear that I don’t believe in them haha.
I only ask questions when I need answers, nothing’s changed.
