Wasn't there a time when we had 5K parties?

Nah, we’ve always set the party bar at 10K (see @johnpowell’s post here). The mention in the community feed is the consolation prize for the 5K landmark.

I don’t think we’ve ever had 5K parties. I know for sure that I didn’t have a 5K party.

I’m not going to say you’re crazy, too fucking obvious & clunky.
If there were 5k parties, then there’d have been 15, 25, 35 & so on, that would be just silly.

When I hit 5k, some people pm’d me and said congrats. Maybe if there were 5k parties, since more people have achieved that level, there’d be too many clogging up Meta.

If someone sticks around to 10k, that’s quite an achievement and quite a level of involvement.

I wouldn’t have liked a party, but a couple of gin and tonics at the bar might have been nice

@jca I had to google 7&7 but looks like a classic. I am a completely rubbish Scottish person though as I don’t like whiskey (or porridge).
