When will Viagra and Cialis commercials feature gay guys?

Or swingers even, old, gay swingers.

Are you sure they don’t have them? There are channels that for whom the target audience is the gay community, maybe there are ads for Cialis and Viagra on those channels.
Or did you only mean mainstream?

Sad to say, but it will probably never go mainstream, only for the fact there are many ignorant people out there that will attempt to sue or make a major up roar about it. Some will claim it to be against their religion or attempt to blame it on the children, that it is not “right” for them to influenced into being gay or some to other Bs… But maybe one day someone will have the courage to go against that all…

Anyway, it probably won’t happen on mainstream networks as long as the major target market is straight old people who still think gay people are “icky”. It’s not a rights thing, it’s a marketing thing.

Those commercials are set up to make people who wouldn’t otherwise talk about sex go ahead and talk about it. Hey, that looks like fun, I bet my wife would love to get down this weekend and I sure would feel better if I didn’t have to worry….

I know it’s a generalization, and those are verboten here, but gay guys don’t have a problem talking about sex. Maybe that will change as it becomes more and more acceptable, but they’ve had to think about and define their sexuality a lot more clearly than most straight folks.

I think the main reason is that if gays are a relatively minor part of the potential customer base (10%?) then they’re going to market at what the majority of the customers are, which is straight.
