Does this sound like a good recipe to you or disgusting?

Take a brick of super firm tofu and slice it into chunks. Roll them in a mix of garlic powder, bread crumbs, salt and pepper and fry them until crisp. Add broccoli florets, half a teaspoon of sesame oil, some teriyaki sauce, teaspoon of sugar, slivered fresh ginger and any other veggies you consider Chinese. Serve over rice.
I made this up but never tried it. What do you think? Do you think you’d like it or hate it?

Seems like that would be pretty good, I’d give it a try anyway.
@CWOTUS I’ve had something similar to this recipe, and I couldn’t even tell it was tofu. I think this recipe sounds really good.
Nasty. I got to tofu and didn’t need to read the rest.
Excellent. What time’s supper!!?!? I used to get a tofu sandwich at the Farmacy in Athens all the time. It was a thick slice of tofu breaded (your choice but corn meal was this chef’s way) and fried in spicy oil (oil in which peppers had been previously sauteed). Sometimes with tahini sesame seed butter!
Always with a banana chocolate peanut butter smoothie!.
Another vote for no-to-tofu. Blech.
I’m not a huge fan of tofu but I would give that a whirl.
Sounds good to me, definitely worth a try.
I’m a vegetarian and I think this sounds wonderful.
Your address? I have wine.
I’d try it twice, as that is my rule, but I generally don’t care for tofu.
I vomited at “garlic powder”
I would love that. The only thing I would add is one finely chopped hot red chilli-pepper. I was vegetarian for many years and tofu was one of my staples. I still eat it on a semi-regular basis now.
If you ever find smoked tofu, try it, its delicious. I do that Spanish-style, with saffron rice and Mediterranean-style veg. Or chopped up and mixed with scrambled egg.
Good. Creative and balanced.
@downtide thanks; I will keep that in mind! I don’t think I’ve ever had tofu !!! (unless it’s the white stuff floating on top of Chinese soup). lol Yeah; I remember now. I used to eat it at a Chinese restaurant when I had the soup first.
