2. Usually it’s in the teens when I log in. I’m here everyday and check in with discussions a lot.
I clean them out every day. I don’t stop following, I just go through them and look at them. I think it might be tim for another fluther vacation though.
162. I like to keep it at 0, but I have been lagging.
0— I always stop following a question as soon as I answer it.
18,000— I never stop following a question and I never browse for any replies after I answer! ;-p
I tend to argue for the sake of arguing but I have to be in a certain mood to do so. If I’m arguing in one question but I’m in a good mood when someone updates it, I will hold off on checking it for a few days (or forever) and just answer new questions until the mood strikes and I feel like arguing again.
0. I keep it pretty well cleaned out. If a question interests me enough to answer I usually keep following it and watching the discussion. If the answers decline into pointless arguing I stop following that question. I like seeing other’s answers. They might bring up something I overlooked.
4473 give or take a couple . . . .
427 right now. I try to go through it from time to time and stop following stuff that no longer interest me, in addition to reading what I am interested in following.
None. I either read it, or unfollow.
And yes, my spam folder is empty, too…
The highest of mine is 30.
Eh. I just cleaned mine out.
The way I approach my activity log is highly mood dependent. I’ve done it every way except being consistent.
My routine is that I just keep clicking the “Next Activity” link at the bottom of each thread. I never even go into the “Activity for you” section.
0. The first thing I do when I come on here is check that. Guess I’m a dork and shit.
’‘sheepish smile while giving you all the finger’’
The guilt from this question just pushed me to going back to all these questions.
I am now at 0.
I always go through it when on here.
It makes me feel better that there are other people who are just as behind as I am in my updates.
My current activity is at 17. That’s high, and I feel a bit of an obligation to bring it down.
I’m adding to everyone’s activity now! Mwahahahahaha!
So what? I’m not following this thread anyway! ;-p
Let’s all message @Brian1946 the link to this thread. Multiple times.
Evil grin…
It is over nine thousaaaaaaaand!
Guess @Brian1946 is busy deleting all those messages right now ~
Huh. I just noticed a “Mark All Read” feature on the “Activity for you” page. Has anyone ever considered using that?
@dxs: I am still interested in some of what’s on my Activity for you, so I wouldn’t use it.
@jca I have an interest in the discussions as well. That link is of no use to me, but can be for the ones who never check their activity.
@dxs I just returned from a hiatus and I had close to 150 in my activity for me. I clicked on “Mark All Read”. I’m just not in the mood to look over old discussions.
My Questions For You is a different story. I’m sitting on the max of 1000. I never use Questions For You.
I never use questions for you either.
I like to weed through the New Activity because sometimes I ask for an update and I want to see the response, and it may be a question from a while ago so it will be buried down in the feed. Sometimes I will click on “Follow” to follow something and if there are a lot of responses on it, I may want to dedicate some time to reading it all. So a few days, weeks or months later when I have nothing to do, I may go back and read the thread. However, I may also change my mind and say “screw that” like discussions on religion or discussions on the Malaysian plane that’s missing.
@jonsblond Welcome back! I always go through the “Questions for you” before searching on my own.
’‘Questions for you’’ is lame, because EVERY question just makes it into mine. :/ And back when Fluther was more active and had more squishies, it still did that, so it’s not an activity issues.
