Why are you the most excited, iPhone 3G, 2.0 firmware update, or the App store launch?

I’m excited for the 3G, but seeing as I won’t be getting one right away, I’m looking forward to the 2.0 software update, which I group the App store with, since it’s included…

yeah, it’s not out yet, neither for the ipod touch nor the iphone, because it’s included in firmware 2.0, and that is not out yet

I’m not excited about any of them. I don’t have or want a cell phone. I haven’t really seen any apps previewed that I would actually use. And the new firmware isn’t really going to do much to my iPod Touch until they release a AIM client for it. And as far as know that is still going to be a while before it happens.

Why need an aim client when you can just go to beejive though?

It will most likely come out on July 11 or July 12. Or course the 2.0 firmware will come with the new iPhone. The firmware itself will probably be released the next day for iPod Touch users.

I’m more “excited” for the app store. Not really excited as eager to indulge in more productive apps.

@programin: The conference was June. The App Store was always scheduled for July 11th.

If I remember correctly, one screenshot on Apple’s website and guided tour of the iPhone 3G included the AIM client in the App Store. I’m pretty sure it’ll be released with the 2.0 update. I mean, AOL has been working on it, they had all the resources possible, they don’t have an excuse.

well since i have an ipod touch, i’m of course only looking forward to the 2.0 and app store!

yea and for those keeping score i wasn’t to happy about it lol but i’m over it now, $10 isn’t that much, but it’s just kinda annoying for everyone that got an ipod touch earlier and had to pay $20 for the other update.. bleh

owell i just want to make some freaking use to my ipod touch it’s just sitting here, I only use it when I don’t want to turn my laptop on and just checking weather or whatever, or when i’m traveling and use it as an ipod
