Where did my youtube account go?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47069points) July 4th, 2014

I used to be able to just click on youtube and I would be automatically signed in. I forget what email account I used, but it wasn’t a gmail account.
Today, however, for whatever reason, it automatically logged me in under my husband’s gmail account. My husband doesn’t even HAVE a youtube account, and there are no videos in that account.
I signed out, tried signing back in, but it continues to try me to log in under my husband’s gmail account.
Where did my account go?

It’s because your husband is still logged into gmail. Google owns youtube so they’re linked. If you’re logged into one, you’re logged into the other. You would need to sign him out completely then go and log into your youtube account.

Well, I went to his gmail account, and it’s asking for a password to sign in…so he can’t be signed in….?

@Dutchess_III Beats me then. Open up youtube in a private window and try loggin into your account from there. You can also try on a different browser.

Me and my fiance use the same comp a lot so one of us will use chrome the other firefox so we can both be logged into our accounts without having to log the other out.

I pulled it up in Chrome….better….but I can’t find any of my videos. There isn’t even a button that says “My videos.”

Go to “My Channel” and then click “videos”.
