Is anyone else currently having trouble with wireless devices?

Yesterday my cell phone refused to ring, instead chiming after a voice mail was left. When I called back, the calls were dropped.
Two stores were unable to take credit cards locally.
My satellite internet is slow, and I’m having to shut it off and re-start at least once a day.
What gives? Is there heavy solar activity? Is the US under some sort of electronic assault? Coincidence?
Let’s hear your theories.

Living where I do, with my only choice for my wifi and internet connection being the local DSL, I always have trouble. The monopolistic carrier is understaffed and uses eoutdated equipment. I must recycle my modem 6 -8 times a day, particularly when there have been heavy rains, electrical storms and the lines get wet. The phone lines run through miles of impenetrable woods where the service trucks have no access.
It is cheaper for this carrier to pay a small group of repain men to wander about and pretend to fix things than to upgrade the gear. I am more intimate with my repair man than I was with my husband for the year before our marriage ended.
As far as cell phones, that is also a joke. We don’t have many towers and we also have lots of hills and valleys. If I have to use the cell at home to call the phone company when the land line and portables die or are loaded with static, I have to stand on the roof of my car.
Yes, sporadic wifi signals here and I am unable to get into my neighbors’ homes to reboot their equipment.
Maybe it’s the Chinese hackers.
Honestly, I wonder about that, @jca. I’m no conspiracy theorist, but if we were under electronic assault, there’s no way the government would acknowledge it.
Conspiracy theorists, hahaa
wifi, cell phones (I have three), tv reception (no cable). All these items are affected for me. My phones keep showing me emergency calls only. Texting works okay.
Sometimes strange pages pop up when I;m trying to sign in to my email.
China? Hmmmmmm. I have a flash drive I bought online from China which sometimes boosts my wifi strength when I plug it in.
Hhhmm conspiracy….
The ecoterrorists are sabotouging the network soo that we wont screw any more animals up with our signals.

Sorry, J4b, I wasn’t familiar with the original song, not being a Miley fan, nor the parent of one.
Me either. I just thought the CIA parody fit so well. When I heard it, I thought of this Q right off and laughed. I’m a big Weird Al fan, but this one had escaped me until now.
I can’t stand Miley, never could.
I’d not heard either version.
Thankfully. lol
