Can you think of any item you have ever purchased that came with an unlimited lifetime warranty?

Asked by SQUEEKY2 (23428points) July 12th, 2014

Sure some things have a lifetime warranty, but have limits, I’m talking about a hassle free lifetime warranty that goes with the item no matter who owns it.
Ever hear of such a warranty?

I have only heard of one such item, and they really do back it up.
I really would like to know if other items have such backing.

Yes. Ruger and Henry Firearms and Leopold Gold ring scopes. You do not have to be original owner nor show any proof of ownership. If you send the unit in, it will be repaired and returned to you.

Interesting that it has to do with firearms, or their accessories , the warranty I’m talking about comes with a dillion reloader made in the states.

As in “get your money back in return for the item”? My dog, per the breeder’s wishes.

You used to be able to buy the most beat up craftsman tools at flea markets and yard sales then take them back for new ones. I purchased a treadmill with a lifetime transferable warranty. They changed their companies ownership, “poof” that warranty evaporated. It’s still working great after a decade of use though so I can’t complain too much.

@ARE_you_kidding_me :: When I was around 15 I helped my grandpa lug in on of those big red tool-chests that you see at the mechanics. It was probably older than I was. One of the rails on the drawer had bent. They replaced the entire thing with a brand new one without question.

My socket set is Craftsman since I can’t afford Snap-On.

Jansport backpacks and Kirby vacuums used to. I don’t know if they still do. I mailed backpacks back to Jansport a few times, and two weeks later a new one would be in the mail. We also had a childrens shoe store when my kids were growing up, which guaranteed shoes not to wear out within 60 days. My kids weren’t hard on their shoes, but my girlfriend’s kids were terrors. She basically never had to pay for shoes for her three. We still laugh about that!

I just remembered Tilley products. Tilley hats and vests are popular in the field. They last forever. My Tilley hat has kept me comfortable for many years of outdoor activities. It is a top quality. product.

Here is their warranty

“Our Classic Weight AdventureCloth Classic Shorts, VOMP (Vest-Of-Many-Pockets) and all jackets, pants, vests, shorts and skirts in Different Drummer Legends will be REPLACED FREE IF THEY EVER WEAR OUT. ‘Wearing out’ means rubbing a hole through an item through abrasion. If it rips (it could happen) we will repair it as economically as possible for you. If the zipper breaks or such, send the item back to us and we’ll gladly repair it for you.”
