What would you do? (Details inside)

Asked by DipanshiK (818points) July 13th, 2014 from iPhone

Ok, this might be a bizarre question but I hope you guys understand what I am trying to say. I often find myself in situations where I have to decide whether to move on or to step back. And no, I am not talking about relationships. I am talking about random situations day to day things. For instance- you and your friends decide to go for a movie. You went out of the house but in the midst of the way your car broke down, somehow you were able to work that out. You were in a hurry and then you got a ticket for overspeed driving. Do you go back home thinking it’s not your day or you go ahead with whatever it is that you have to do. Later, in the middle of the movie, a fire alarm runs off.
I think all these obstacles that you run into are signs that help you see that it’s not your day. Do you believe in this? Response if you can relate.
Thankyou.

Imagine two ants waling outdoors and it begins to rain, One ant gets hit wih a raindrop every step it takes. The other ant walks along not being hit with one single drop. Is the rain aiming for one ant but not the other? No. It just happens that way.
Everyone is met with obstacles during life. For some it seems quite often, for others, not so much
All we can do is meet each difficulty with all the strength and wisdom we can manage.

No. That’s just random things happening to you. Unfortunately it happens so many times in a row.

I’ve been in situation like that before. I got used to it.

I don’t look for signs – I doubt I would even notice.

No…it’s just a bunch of unhappy coincidences.

@longgone I think you’d notice if one crappy thing after another happened in the space of a couple of hours!

^ I might notice in the monent, but I wouldn’t be thinking about it for more than a couple of seconds. I wouldn’t try to analyze…you see?

“I see” said the blind man who couldn’t see at all, as he picked up his hammer and saw.

Some days are more difficult than others. I always notice difficult things more when I’m tired or cranky. I knew a girl once who believed that if her vibrations were not good that day, she should not go to work. She eventually got fired.

I am so on board with the “it’s not my day” faction. Against all logic and reason and science and the rolling of eyes of the rationalists and patient explanations of the people here who see that there can be no other explanations than those one would give to a young, slightly stupid child, I do sometimes think there is a karmic element.

I also believe that a bad start can put me off balance to the point that other negative things happen because I’m distracted and a bit careless.

It’s bad when your vibrator’s no good @LornaLove. And really bad to tell your boss that and use it as a reason not to come to work!

I had one of these days last week. When it happens I am convinced that the universe is out to make my life more difficult and I should just go back to bed; tomorrow is another day.

These days are particularly hard when, like me, most things seem to go your way most of the time (other than traffic lights but that is another story involving conspiracy theories).
