I slept so lousy last night I never dreamed a thing. It was the first real warm humid night and right before I went to bed, it started to storm, so I had to close most of the windows so the house stayed warm all night. I thought your ears would be popping from me yawning.
Lousy answer #1. :)
A strange surreal wood. Everything was dark. I was walking aimlessly, with a feeling of being watched. There was nobody but me. Suddenly I saw a light. I walked toward and was transported to a cave. I was unable to move. A voice spoke to me: “Welcome to the end”
The only one I can remember involved my wife and I visiting my mother. We were sitting down to dinner when my mother had to leave for an emergency (she’s a nurse). But she decided to make up for it (as if it had been her fault) by bringing home raspberry ice cream, giant strawberries (the size of baked potatoes), and whipped cream for dessert.
Pop guns! And bicycles! Roller skates! Drums! Checkerboards! Tricycles! Popcorn! And plums! Who am I kidding, I dreamt I ate Cindy-Lou Who herself…
Applauds technically correct use of the word “surreal.”

Last night I dreamed about a dream that had occurred earlier in the night. In the bright light of day, I only vaguely recall that I was having a confrontation with someone I was unhappy with, and always in my dream-with-dreams, which occur fairly often, I was very aware in the latter dream that I was rehashing the earlier one.
I wish I could remember! I’ll return on the morning I do remember my dreams. That is, if I’m willing to share…my dreams can get really weird.
I was driving home from work and then I realized I was in my old neighborhood from 25 years ago. There was some debris in the street, so I pulled over got out of the car to see that it was a suitcase on a metal rolling rack cart like This and it was open and some of the contents were in the stree. At closer examination, I noticed that it was my Dad’s suitcase and some of his clothes. This was right in front of my house. Then some mysterious gentleman came by and started talking to me about the stuff in the street. Then I noticed that my car, the one that I had just gotten out of, was now parked in my driveway, but there was a big chain across the front of it.
So what happened in my waking life yesterday? I was going to go to the store when I found out that my car wouldn’t start, so I was figuring that I would have to call a tow truck this morning to take it to the repair shop. Luckily, it was just a dead battery and me and my Dad jump started it this morning. I must have been agonizing over the prospect of having something really bad and expensive wrong with my car.
Not sure what the rolling cart and the suitcase had to do with anything. Don’t know who the gentleman was either, but I was watching The Murdoch Mysteries last night and Yannick Bisson is one hot gentleman, so I guess that’s who it was : P
I was awakened by a dream this morning at precisely 2:46 and at the time it was vivid and disconcerting but now I can recall only a vague feeling of confusion and discomfort.
That I had to pee really bad. Then I woke up and had to pee really bad.
Last night? I had a dream. I had an awesome dream. There were people in the park playing games in the dark. What they played was a masquerade and from behind the walls of doubt a voice was crying out.
I stand there, immobile. I am frozen to my place in an uncontrolled state, watching his pendulum-like movements, as my best friend swings from the rafters. His arms dangle uselessly by his side, his hair is matted with an eruption of red on one side. Scarlett streams down his face, over his lips dripping from his chin onto his write t-shirt.
I feel sick as I watch his limp body swing back and forth. I take a step, struggling against the initial shock and fear that rendered me unmoving, holding my feet to their spot. “Buckley.” I choke. The name sticks in my throat, thickly.
The half of his hair that is still clean glows menacingly in the darkened basement. I feel myself lunge forward, finding that I am unable to force the memory of calm laughter out of my mind.
@Blondesjohn, say more say more about life’s lonesome highway….
“I dreamt about you last night
And I fell out of bed twice…”
I dreamed of old train journeys and cycle rides deep into England with a friend now dead.
It’s funny that you should ask today because last night’s dream was the first I have remembered in a while. I dreamed that the novel I wrote had been adapted into a play and a local school was performing it. It was the most exciting thing; I woke up so happy. It’s funny though because my novel would not work as a play at all. It is sci-fi, would need too many special effects.
I also dreamt of a specific Star Trek the Next Generation episode, where Jean Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher where prisoners in a planet, with a device hooked to each other like a chain gang and they can’t be more than 10 meters apart or they feel pain.
@ SecondHandStoke that’s odd, what part of this dream caused you to fall out of bed?
No dreams. I slept this morning when pain was weak enough to allow. I got a few hours of much needed sleep, and my brain was good enough to just shut up and run organs for a while. It wasn’t long compared to the norm, but it was the longest sleep I’ve had in some time.
The night before last, I dreamed that I had this bowl of pointy teeth, and that I was using a stone pestle to grind them into powder. For some reason, I was going to use them in mortar to build a crypt. That’s all I remember,
I had a weird dream about a combat situation with soldiers and two children. No idea what it was about but it wasn’t pleasant. I think I must have watched something on the news before I went to sleep.
Zombie dogs flying around in tornadoes through a cornfield. I then ended up driving a black convertible down a highway with seat tentacles picking up people in golf carts. It was really weird.

“Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me.
No hope, no harm.
Just another false alarm…”
@Jonesn4burgers
You had dreams, you just don’t remember.
Everyone is dreaming, even during waking hours.
Sometimes I will have a memory flash of a place or event that occurs in my dreams.
It’s my waking dreaming momentarily pushing through.
@SecondHandStoke you are speaking of normal sleep. I have been sleep deprived for weeks, remember the chat room? During those short, restless periods, yes I dreamed, and plenty .I’m talking about sleep so deep, I woke up unable to move any extremitiea because my body shut down to near dead. I had to wait for the blood flow to return to normaal. I’ve had it happen before. My blood pressure doesn’t even register.
And yes, it is dangerous, but I can’t afford real doctors. I have the VA.
This morning it had to do with sitting across a table from another person, it was a trestle table and benches, and we were looking at various objects and not seeing the same thing. We were arguing about it with both of us adamant that we were right about what we saw. It turns out that they had two completely different sides to them. The one I remember that brought this to light was a statue of what to me was a large blue bird that was a scorpion on the other side. When we discovered this we turned around everything in front of us and found out that we were both right but only from our own point of view.
I’ve heard that story before. I think it was a Sunday Sermon.
Visions of @AshLeigh are dancing in my head now. She would be a nice fit to The Family.
Ages ago when I did sleep, I used to dream I was a very small boy looking up at the world. I was amazed at the size of everything and everyone. A simple rocking chair appeared to be 3 stories tall. I would hide behind things so no one would see me or flatten me as they walked by.
A few years later…...........
I began dreaming of hurting people. I would cave their heads in and play with their body parts. I would make human dolls with moveable parts. To pose them, I would shove steel rods through their arms and legs and bend them into the positions of my choosing. I had an entire makeshift-museum of these corpses.
Again, a few years later…........................
I did these things. And after that, I could only dream the dreams that were controlled by the Vampsisters. Now, I’m the puppet.
I bite harder than you, but you were okay with it.
Absolutely. Never been bitten by chocolate teeth.
When you least expect it….
Should I wrap myself with a giant M&M bag so you can jump in with me?
M&M bag? my dreams go better than that. You should be in chat right now. It is getting pretty uninhibited in there.
