Over the years there have been many captains of the USS Enterprise from Archer to Janeway.

Archer is an ignorant, arrogant prick, and Janeway is a psychopath.
That leaves Kirk, Picard and Sisko.
Sisko is a badass, but he crossed the line when he used the bio weapon on the Maquis colony.
Kirk is too much of a cowboy. (jarjarkirk is an arsehole, and is naturally disqualified, because jar jar abrams)
My favourite is Picard.
I will say Captain Sulu saying you mentioned Janeway (she was captain of the Voyager).
Christopher Pike. He took his ship where no man had gone…yet!
+1 for Cap’n Pike. Kirk the Bone Master. Picard the Bald Frenchman with the British Accent.
Jean-Luc Picard. No contest.
Q was captain and admiral of the Enterprise a couple of times. Nog was a captain in the future. Their are many captains who had small roles as captain. Data was a excellent captain when they made the space net to detect Romulans.
Picard is my favorite, but I love William Shatner the actor.
Jean-Luc Picard is my favourite.
Star Trek general Chang… doesn’t all have to be human or federation captains. Kang and khan. Hell we can have Kang and Kodos.
As he is written Picard is the ideal manager.
I agree with Picard, but I would’ve loved to see Han Solo cross universes and high jack an Enterprise.
My favourite has always been Picard.
I want to say Jean-Luc Picard, but he did not defeat the Borg where Janeway did. She also had to fight and survive with no help from Star fleet. I would gather what she learned from years fighting the Borg, certainly helped out Star fleet, should the Borg ever have come back. Not only dealing with Q but having to tackle the Krenim Imperium temporal weaponry, again, no help from Star Fleet. She had far more to contend with with less backup and resources.
Sisko was the best captain, hands-down.
Kirk;
Because
he was
so
in
control of
everything.
Like his emotions?
His libido?
Kirk sought out new life forms and alien chicks to bone.
It was the late 60’s in our world, on this side of the worm hole, so free love and multracial issues were in full swing. Kirk was a product of his time.
“Picard is my favorite, but I love William Shatner the actor.” @JLeslie?
William Shatner is an actor?
His 2nd best work was by far in commercials.
I think his amateurishness as an an actor might have been a key to the success of the original Star Trek: something so cheesy must be genuine!
Don’t forget Rachel Garrett USS Enterprise (NCC-1701 C).
@ibstubro He was cheesy in Star Trek. I thought he was great in Boston Legal. I like him. I like him on talk shows, I find his opinions interesting, I like his enthusiasm for life, for work, and for his friendships.
