What is your favorite vegetarian cold meal to eat on a hot day?

Asked by Kardamom (33525points) August 24th, 2014

It’s hot. I don’t want to heat up the kitchen.

What are your favorite cold, or non-heated, vegetarian dishes?

Maybe it’s a sandwich, maybe it’s a salad, maybe it’s some kind of leftovers, or maybe you’ve got something (vegetarian) that I haven’t even thought of.

@talljasperman I’m not a vegan, I’m a vegetarian so I eat eggs and dairy.

@longgone OMG! Cold quiche! I love that. Mushroom and cheese please.

@Kardamom O.k. I will try and buy what I need to make PB and J sandwiches when I get paid at the end of the month.

Cereal, like Froot Loops with water instead of milk.

I had peas and tomatoes right out of the garden. That was nice. The peas are an amazing bonus this year.

@sakura cold samosas? It seems like the dough would be wet or gummy. I love hot, fresh samosas, though.
