Other than milk what else can you put in your cereal?

Asked by talljasperman (21919points) August 24th, 2014

I just tried water in my Froot Loops and It worked out fine. So that I don’t need to buy as much milk and can save some money. What other liquids can you put in your cereal, (Coffee, tea, chicken broth ect..) Also you can eat cereal without any liquids like a snack. I’ve even heard of using beer but I haven’t tried it.

I wouldn’t use anything other than milk, or milk substitutes like almond milk or coconut milk.

FRuit rolled in cereal is really good. Like strawberries rolled in granola or flakes. Ice cream in cereals good too.

Cereal with yogurt is good, though I don’t think that will save you money.

If I didn’t have milk, I’d eat it dry. Water in oatmeal is gross, do I can’t imagine water in my cereal.

I use Southern Comfort.

Orange juice?

@AshlynM I will try that with my Froot Loops when I get paid.

Pineapple juice on some dry cereals…the simple ones, like corn flakes or grape nuts.

I’ve tried water on my cereal (I’m my college days).

I’m not down with that. I’d rather just eat it dry.
