Has the word "believing" changed in the past 10 years?

Asked by talljasperman (21919points) August 26th, 2014

I remember it being spelled differently… Is it a Canadian/American grammar difference? “Believing”, doesn’t sound right.

Nope. It hasn’t changed at all and American/Canadian has nothing to do with it.

“I” before “E”, except after “C”

Believing still doesn’t seem right. Oh well thank you @Buttonstc

I think you might be mistaking it for “receiving”

I find that staring for a long time at any word makes it looked misspelled.

‘Believing’ is in my 20 year-old desktop dictionary.
