Do they have special programs at the college level for Down's adults?

This is going around facebook. Sure it’s cool…but the young man can’t even read his own acceptance letter, yet he’s been admitted to college? What am I missing here?

Yes they do! A young woman with Downs that I know is starting her second year at the University of Cincinnati!

It’s not easy to qualify, the young man in the video may not read but he may have other qualities that make sense for him to be included in a program.

Here is the program to which this young man was accepted. It is not a traditional undergraduate degree program.

Some school have programs specifically designed for people with diabilites and accommodate students the best they can.
