How do I turn up the phones ringtone... for a Samsung Galaxy S5?

Asked by talljasperman (21919points) August 28th, 2014

I have been missing calls. I have a ringer setting on my power on off button but it doesn’t work. I have a choice between Mute. Vibrate and Sound. I pick sound and the phone just vibrates and make a very faint ringtone. The whistle for a text message still works. Can someone help?

Use your physical volume buttons on the side of the phone.

Great. Note – there are many ways you can do anything in Android. So, if you prefer, you can always install any of a number volume slider widgets that will allow you quick access to specific volume sliders (ringer, media, alarms, etc).
And you can automate it all as well, so you can set it to go into quiet mode during the night and then turn back up in the morning.
And depending on Samsung’s Android mods, some of their phones provide both notification tray direct access to sound, as well as the ability to fine-tune the volume from a gear (settings) icon that appears when you hit the physical volume keys.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is an amazing smartphone. Its a power performance packed smartphone. As for the turning up phones ringtone issue, its very simple. You can use the volume up button on the left hand side panel of the smartphone to increase your phone’s ringtone.
