What are some messages received by an audience when someone both dresses and models in a provocative manner?

What thoughts are ok to have about the model, and what thoughts are not ok?
My next question is going to be along the lines of, “Does a model who dresses and poses provocatively owe it to anyone who to decide what the message should be taken in as?”

The individual words here make sense, but put them together in a sentence, and I’m baffled.
What are you saying here?
Are you asking about the thoughts of the observer? Also, I need provocative defined. Is it still PG rated or are we moving into R’s and X’s.
As far as the messages, it depends on the observer. As a woman I might identify with her, a man might be turned in by her. When I see a beautiful woman she can be like a work of art to me, but if it is too provocative it loses the art for me.
If models are involved, the message being promoted has been determined by an advertising agency or the people behind the campaign. The models are working to a brief.
Give some examples or we have no way of knowing what you think “provacative” is?
Generally, I say it’s okay to think anything you want. What you say and do is a different story.
I’m with the others who are struggling with the word provocative. That, to me, deals with the intention of the wearer – but just because he/she is trying to provoke, does not mean that the viewer is getting that message. there is some fancy word in psycholinguistic that escapes me right now, but deals with unreceived messages
As a viewer, I really don’t care what the intended message is – I look at the person and the clothing and make an assessment based on my background and context. Regardless of what the wearer intended, I’m going to see and process with my own eyes.
Let me give you an example.
Suppose that a model was wearing see-through lederhosen as way of doing a sexy German look. Here intention was to provoke and stimulate me.
However, my context is that I saw a bunch of German dancers last week that were all wearing lederhosen (non-transparent), and the provocatively clad woman actually reminded me of how much fund I had at Oktoberfest.
So… provocative garb can badly misfire….if it means anything at all.
