Have you used the Magic Jack phone device?
It looks too good to be true, so I am looking for the experience of real people. I would be using it for a landline.

The biggest disadvantage is that if there is a power outage, you also lose the phone because it has to be connected to your computer in order to work.
@Buttonstc That’s okay, that’s how our current land line/internet work anyway.
I’ve never used it myself, but I have a friend who told me last week that for his purposes it works well.
@Pachy This would be our main phone service. We do have one cheap “pay as you go” cell phone , but mostly only for emergencies. So, I’m not sure if we have the same “purposes”. Any more light you can shed?
My father has used it and he loved it.
My step mom uses it,and loves it.
