How do I become a science journalist?

You would need a university degree and a journalism degree for starters.

No degree required for journalism these days. Start a blog or youtube channel and post what you find interesting. If you build it, they will come. The fact that you’re broadcasting makes you a journalist. Get enough followers, and Bob McDonald will be asking your for a job.

If you want to actually write for a real publication, not just run a crappy online blog, then you’re probably going to have to complete your education first. I’ve seen enough of your “how do I become….” posts to see that you seem to want some quick, easy route to some wondrous and well-paying career that requires little work on your part, but that’s just not going to happen. If you really want it you’re going to have to work at it.

The press has no interest in anything as fact based as science.

@SecondHandStoke time to circle the horses. I am interested in PBS Nova and quirks and quarks. The voyager space probes is what I like as well as planetarium’s.
