Can you buy an Amazon UK gift certificate with a US credit card?

My aunt lives in Germany. If she wants any English language material, she has to go through Amazon UK. She can’t use the US certificates on the UK site. I want to get her an Amazon UK gift certificate as a present. Can I buy one here with a US credit card?

I’ve made purchases through Amazon.co.uk using a Canadian credit card. Easy-peasy.

They will even exchange it into dollars for you. I haven’t bought gift cards but I am even a UK prime member using my US credit card. I have grand kids who live there and shipping from here I’d really expensive.
