Can you help me look for recent studies and information on the drug Effient for heart stents?

Asked by JLeslie (65790points) October 8th, 2014

Specifically, I am looking for recommendations on how many months are necessary for the patient to take the drug.

If you or someone you know takes it, I am curious how long the doctor said it must be taken for.

Thanks in advance for your help.

This is a paper from the American Heart Foundation from 2012. Hopefully you can access it. It mentions a timeframe of 14.5 months under the paragraph headed “Eficacy”.

It may depend on what it has been prescribed to treat. NHS Choices says it is usually prescribed for 12 months but the UK and USA may differ
