Is there a way to dissolve spider webs on the centers of humming bird feeders?

We are humming bird lovers. However, cleaning their feeders is very difficult because the traces of spider webs the birds leave on the yellow center of the red ‘flowers’.

Yep. I flash mine with my Bernzomastic TS4000 torch.nI use the standard green propane canister, not the yellow MAPP gas canister. A quick flash is all it takes. Poof!
I also use it to clear out the spider webs that collect on my car.
Note: This will also clear out the spider.
Unfortunately, this would likely damage or destroy the plastic parts of the feeders. But thanks anyway.
Is your feeder in a sheltered or exposed area. My feeders are in the open and get hit with the weather. Maybe why I’ve never had that problem. I have more problems with the birds fighting. But they are beautiful.
@Bill1939 I have similar feeders. They are plastic units like these . Sorry the picture is so small).
I just do a quick flash and it does the trick without damage. Practice a little.
Mine are the same style.
@Bill1939 Trust him. Believe me. :)
That is why I use the green propane tank in the TS4000 MAP gas Bernzomatic. It has a quick start trigger and the propane only will burn cooler than MAP gas.
I use this same approach to clean spider webs off my plastic house siding, dust bunnies on the basement floor, cobwebs hanging from the basement ceiling, spider webs between the car side mirrors and windows, etc.
@LuckyGuy I will try your suggestion. My feeders are the same as your photo.
Perfect!
I once found a hummingbird dead on the ground tangled and tied up in a spider web. That convinced me they could use a little help. That and the annoying webs getting in my face whenever I needed to refilled the feeder.
The TS4000 will ignite with the snap push of the button. I aim to one side “snap” and quickly move across the opening – don’t linger. The spider webs (and spider) will be gone.
I also do this around my bird houses to keep them looking nice and web free.
